| They are all fair points fella. and they did make some mistakes..but edwards and mcloed have had good years..and id probably let them have one more year. you cant buy the experience that these 2 have. as for burton..i cant see the club rehabbing him for 12 month for 6 or 8 games,,i think he is fit enough to play again..injury permitting..he brings the x factor to the side. goodwin will get another year..being captain and AA this year!! i would have them all there next year.. the experience with the young guys ..will be the best opportunity to take the next step in the finals. all our young guys..vince,tippet,mackay to name a few will be better for the experience they have received playing the finals! wow doughty is 30..didnt realise that..id have him in the side..but shirley is only being named as a tagger..and u can always find someone to fill that postion!! i like "po-tchel" he just shouldnt be running around the defence..leave him in attack IMO |

| Remember this thread smokin? Edwards and Mcleod made some terrible errors and played near their worst games for the year, Burton ran out of puff (will a preseason really fix that? Is it time to let Taylor Walker stay in the side and develop? Sloane, Davis and McKernan will have another preseason behind them as will Cook and Petrenko. The measurement has to be is if the old fellas will be a part of the next premiership side. If that is not next year then it is time to continue development with 2011 the INTERNAL target (not like Wallace's 5 year plan making 2011 Richmonds year.) Hard decisions on them and Mick Doughty who is 30 too, Rob Shirley and maybe Trent Hentschel. The Crows did dump Benny Hart, Jason Torney and Kris Massie who were still playing good footy. Be interesting thats for sure |

| After going to the match last night... i cannot see how the crows could not sign goodwin,edwards,mccloed and burton for another year!! with the youth at the club starting to shine..these 4 players would be perfect to cap of the squad...i think a couple could go on the veterans list. you cant by the experience that these guys have..and add burtons X-factor to the list..i cant see any negatives to keeping em playing for the next year or so!! |
