Re:Well Done Adelaide Reply to this message
Only he knows why he didnt go the ball that was there for the taking instead of trying to take out Slattery first. He'll be missed Deb but the Crows need to worry about getting it up forward enough times and with good delivery and kicking straight when they get it, something they haven't done for a month.

Re:Well Done Adelaide Reply to this message
A win is better than a loss no matter how horrible. Knights matchups were quite good despite what has been said elsewhere. Monfries restricted Mcleod, Hille started well in ruck against Griffin and their midfield held sway despite terribel skill errors from both sides. The dew caused considerable problems for both sides and the footy was like a piece of soap. I thought Essendon too a leaf out of the eagles book and applied tremendous pressure to the Crows and Tippett was given a bath from a close checking Fletcher. A good lesson from a great backman for him I thought. Just like the Eagles did the week before the Dons set themselves for this game and nearly took it. The younger Crows are steadily getting pressure games after flying under the radar early and this will put them in good stead for the future. Essendon aren't great but they played with enthusiasm and desire and if you do that for a whole game you can win. But at the end of the day the Crows got 4 points and go up against another side who fell in a heap under pressure in Richmond who showed how good they are after th Swans gave them a lesson in pressure footy.

Re:Well Done Adelaide Reply to this message
Its a fair question matt. Considering where Johnkok, Bock, Rutten and Griffin came from you have to wonder how the Crows picked Meesen 8, Angwin 7 and Gilligan 14 (all ruckmen).Theres probably others but these are the ones who spring to mind. Dont remind me we swapped Carey for Wells in a roundabout way.

Re:Well Done Adelaide Reply to this message
orightfella , i think all clubs have those types on their lists. You left wondering how no one else drafted them. I think the more important question is . Why are so many early draft picks duds.?? lol

look at the Roos , Firrito ( rookie) Pratt pick 67 Thomas pick 53 , Campbell ( rookie) Harvey pick 43 , even Smith who played his first game pick 60 odd. Corey Jones another late pick.

Re:Well Done Adelaide Reply to this message
Porplyzia has been drafted TWICE by the Crows. You have to wonder what other AFL clubs were doing whilst he spent 2 years at Westies between his first and second stint at the Crows.

Re:Well Done Adelaide Reply to this message
Hentschel has played a 1/2 and nearly a full game in SANFL reserves for Woodville/West Torrens. In second game strained hammy so missed the weekend just past and likely to play again in the reserves on the Hall of Fame game weekend. Unless you have inside info sadrian I'd suggest Trent is not likely to be back for 4-6 weeks at best. They will give him another week or two in reserves then ask WWT to step him up into league (remembering they are doing alright at the moment and Fuller just wont put him in at the request of the Crows into the league side.) I think the Crows are in no hurry to rush him back and any AFL games he plays this year will be seen as a bonus.

Re:Well Done Adelaide Reply to this message
Porplycia a star, always rated him high. Crows inaccuracy ist quarter (at home) a worry. BTW 88 what's the go with Henstchell, will he be back to help the bird-man?

Re:Well Done Adelaide Reply to this message
yes good game ammatt but our (crows) last quarter was a shocker, went defensive 4 mins in --i was most upset even though our 3rd qtr was great--but that takes credit away from your side who played an excellent quarter

Re:Well Done Adelaide Reply to this message
good win by the Crows last night , North didn't look like it. Wouldn't mind Johnkok he places the 'cleaner' roll brilliantly . Sweeping up the loose ball & mounting Adelaides attacks from deep in defence.

Re:Well Done Adelaide Reply to this message
A good win for the young Crows first up, even against a deflated Collingwood. No doubt 3 hard weeks in South Africa took it out of the Maggies but a 14 goal win is good signs for the Crows if not a bad one for the Pies. Not a lot of pressure in the game or physicality so it will be good to see how young Sellars and co go when it is for real.

Re:Well Done Adelaide Reply to this message
geez richo...people say it means shyte(NAB cup) but the Pies looked really awful and really slow...Rocca is finished as a footballer that was the most obvious observation of the game...that and the very slow midfield...sad thing is theres no real pacew sitting in the medical room.......Still i think there a big top 8 chance
