Tough action now... Reply to this message
It's no wonder that iran and syria want to keep the violence going in iraq and lebanon.
Because if a stable iraqi or lebanese democracy emerged their own people might want the same.
So it is no surprise that iran and syria are supporting all terrorist activity in those countries.
Making iran and syria pay a price for stoking and prolonging the violence in iraq and lebanon need not mean full scale war, invasion and regime change.
All that needs to be done is to hurt them hard to make them think again about this fight.
Put them on the defensive by bombing cross border training camps, sink their ships and destroy their aircraft.
Help israel bomb iran's nuclear weapons program.
Destroy hezbollah totally and support the democratically elected govts of iraq and lebanon.

Peace in the middle east requires tough action now...

Southern and neocon always screaming for war but neither have the guts to join in. Should Israel hrow nuclear smoke into Iran the best part about it would be the interest that they reap. All of the fallout from their strike will be carried backover Israel by the prevailing air currents. Something similar to p1ssing into a fan. That is a dose that they actually deserve.

What kind of tough action? Armed conflict has never worked in those places. They seem to live for that s h i t, in fact.

The toughest action anyone can take would be to lay down their arms and get on with life. What's the point of fighting for this long when no one is getting anywhere?
What's the point of war?

How incredibly and heart-breakingly true this is. And yet it's absolutely the hardest thing for any country, indeed, and person, to do. If we look out at the world and see only division, never a common humanity, and a common planet, for that matter, nothing will ever change.

Personally I think we're doomed by our primitive brains. They simply haven't caught up with present realities, and the ease with which universal prosperity could be effected.

Good Lord... i think i have to quote john Lennon!

"You may say I'm a dreamer..."

Re:Tough action now... Reply to this message
Go right ahead drop a big nuke on Iran and/or Syria. Wanna know why they don't? I'll tell you anyway. It would stuff the entire Middle Eastern oil supply. The structure, geophysical, is that fragile. In some ways its a pity Hussein did not have and detonate a nuke down an oil well.

The war continues because the oil greedy nations need the oil and the rightfull owners want it back!

Re:Tough action now... Reply to this message
Napier - I've been in Qatar and Saudi. While there may not be gay bars etc there are very openly gay men among the Arab people.

Filipina ladies taken to either to work are told they will immediately be sent home if they show any affection to a man they might meet in a public place. Yet I saw hom0sexual men kissing in public.

Not being a scholar or the Quran I could not say if there is any specific "law" against hom0sexuality in Islam.

I think you will also find that hom0sexuality was prevelant among the tribes directly descended from Abraham/Ibrahim.

Neocon you claim to have been in the Forces. I'd like to know which. No ex serviceman I know would run down people the way you do. As yet you have not added an idea or counterpoint to any argument on these boards you just go the easy path and sl@g people off.

You are a moron who should be in the Infantry in Iraq with an effin big target painted on your back.
