| we are going on our first holiday in 16 years . going from australia to the states in jan 2008 .. flying air china .. ..adelaide , sydney , taipei, to the states. has anyone flown with air china , if so how was it . i know its a long flight , but we are looking forward to just relaxing (and try and get some shut eye ) |

| I've flown with Air China 3 times and they were fine. The food was not as good as some of the other airlines but everyone was always friendly and the service was just fine. |

I used to fly with Air China a fair bit. Not the best airline in the world, but far from being the worst.

| That's China Airline which is based in Taipei. Air China is based in Beijing. Both of them are ok to flight. At least, say , safe |

Have an AWESOME time nee. We were in the USA in november last year. Had the BEST time. Try 5 Guys Burgers. AVOID standard coca cola.. they dont use sugar they use GM High Fructose Corn Syrup. Makes the cola taste terrible. Keep an eye out for it.

| thanks all .. we are going to .. la,, on to grand canyon..then to kansas (visit friends ) then to sf..will be travelling from place to place on the amtrak ..i am going to make a childhood dream come true .. i am going to meet MICKEY MOUSE and CREW... cant wait .. 9 weeks to go.. but whos counting .. We were at Disney Land for 3 days. Had the BEST time Nee.
May I also suggest California Adventure Park, which is literally right next to Disneland across the way.
But I am sure you already have a multipark pass.
Be warned of the corndogs** yukz* lol...
Also on AMTRAK if you have time remember to grab your own snacks as they charge like a wounded bull on the train.
We found that out the hard way just going between Baltimore and Washington D.C.
Otherwise.. Just have HEAPS of fun, and ENJOY EVERYTHING. |

| thanks for the tips bunno,, i am writting them down in my little black book ..i am planning on having heaps of fun .. firat holiday for hubby and i in 16 years ( have a 16 year old sown syndrome son ) first time away from him . nervous about that , but his 2 brothers will be looking after him (they are adults ) .. thanks again bunno |

| All the best for your holiday,,it should be lovely..make sure you have a pen handy when you are on the plane,i always forget to have one on me and have to borrow one from someone when you have to fill the passenger info thing for your passport mid flight..its annoying having to look around for a pen to borrow..silly info i know..have fun..Mark |

Oh I forgot....... With the states.. remember to NOT buy anything duty free untill youre triugh customs.. also wear shoes you can get on and off fast as they make you remove them.
Also give yourself a bit more time then usual to check in at the airport. The security lives in LA can be horrendous.
Otherwise.. As I said.. HAVE A FANTASTIC TIME. |
