For those interested in comparing the operations of the various Clubs LaBourse in Australia with similar operations of Brian Leslie Wates in the UK, try this informative link: TAGWorld Services Ltd [2008] EWHC 1866 (Ch) (30 July 2008).
Iain Mervyn Sprod's CLB Marketing (Australasia) Pty Ltd and his Holiday & Travel Expo Pty Ltd appear to have performed at least a similar role in Oz as Sunscene did in the UK.

Since somebody mentioned Iain Mervyn Sprod, director of all those companies, some of which are still registered ,try this in a search engine : The Northern Rivers Echo + Write4Fun.
Anybody up that way belong to a P & C ?

www.deewr.gov.au is the website of another of our wonderful Federal Departments/quangos. Then there are our equally outstanding State Departments. You could try mentioning the following in a search engine to State, Catholic and GPS overseeing bodies : Write4Fun scam + Australasian Publishing Group.

Looks like Brian Leslie + Gertie Wates still have onkaparingas inserted in TAG World Services, Inc.
Wonder if the web ad associating TAG with ARDA and RBA (Resale Broker Alliance) is dinkum.
Hope Brian + Gertie're keeping in touch with old accomplices Felicity McKellar of IYC Travel and Niall "RD" Barker, both late of Club LaBourses here in Oz.

Doubts about Write4Fun raised in Parliaments of NSW (2001),Victoria (2007) and WA.
Massive number of free promotions on the web by schools from all over Australia, plus the occasional from NZ, and newspapers.

Re:Club LaBourse Reply to this message
Liquidators of Club LaBourse Oceania Pty Ltd [CLBO]have notified : "Creditors should write off their debts as no dividend will be paid to any class of creditor".
Chargeback and FOS are remaining hopes.
Director of CLBO,the almost legendary Brian Leslie Wates ,with the aid of Iain Mervyn Sprod of CLB Marketing (Australasia) Pty Ltd, successfully has done to Aussies what he did to the poms.
Does Sprod retain a finger in the Write4Fun pie ?

Re:Club LaBourse Reply to this message
Again mentioning Iain Mervyn Sprod, director of CLB Marketing (Australasia) Pty Ltd - whose shareholder was Australasian Publishing Group Pty Ltd (associated with Write4Fun) - other companies include:
Global Axcess - Liquidator Hall Chadwick
Santel - Liquidator Jirsch Sutherland.
Wow, what a track record, but a bit less impressive than that of Brian Leslie Wates of Club LaBourse infamy : nevertheless, a very successful combination. Just ask a few thousand or so of those scammed by that co-operative venture.

Holiday & Travel Expo Pty Ltd (since resurrected under ACN 121 395 793) became Global Axcess Worldwide Pty Ltd (under external administration ) in November 2007.
Wonder what it does now.
Anything to do with Sprod ?

Re:Club LaBourse Reply to this message
Not unusual they didn't show. When was your hearing ?
Depending on how you paid ,and when, you might have some hope with chargeback (if you paid by credit card).
Wates last reported as back in UK.
Nial "R/D" allegedly also owed money.
Check who established Classic Getaway.
Who received your money ? Was it one of Iain Mervyn Sprod's many companies ?
Check Write4Fun on the web.
