Don't bother trying to get in touch with jetstar people. They are extremely rude and I suspect their counter staff at Australian airports are mostly selected for "qualities" such as rudeness, racism, laziness and ignorance.
My daughter got to the airport in Perth ONE HOUR before flight departure, with only carry on bag because our car broke down on the highway and we had to wait for a taxi to come get us and take us to airport. The counter staff refused to check her in. The airport customer service staff she approached, a guy, was too busy trying to score with the girlies at the counter. No-one helped her at all. We had to go home and she took an SIA flight back to Singapore the next day. It was quick, easy and professional service from SIA, and the ticket only cost 200 more than bloody jetstar.
I wrote to Jetstar on 25th June to ask for refund and compensation for ABSENCE of SERVICE GRANTED TO PAYING CUSTOMER. To date, and today is 12 September, I haven't even had the courtesy of a aknowledgement letter.
That's how bad they are. Our whole family has sworn off jetstar completely. We would rather pay more and fly another airline, or to fly cheap we take Tiger or Silk Air. NEVER AGAIN jetstar! We are going on a group holiday to Vietnam, and when my friends recommended Jetstar, I told them, I won't go if you choose to fly jetstar. We opted for another airline. Yeah!:)
Asians and colored people shouldn't fly jetstar out of Australia, as service to non-whites is even worse than to whites. Out of Asia is OK as staff are all Asians and they treat everyone nicely. I had a similar experience with United Airlines flying from Singapore to HongKong - they bumped 6 Asians off the flight to give priority to whites flying to the US. I doubt any of us would ever fly United again, not even to US. Long live SIA, MAS, Thai airways and Cathay Pacific.
Jetstar, if you are reading this, your Oz customer service REALLY SUCKS BIG TIME. Your staff at Perth "international" ai ... |

| Read the rules zarine! check in ends at one hour prior to departure for international flights. Those of us already organised don't want our trip held for those that are late.If they extend it a few seconds for one , maybe a minute or two for the next or half an hour for the next, Cut offs atre cutoffs. When you are travelling make sure you arrive early. Enjoy a coffee and a chat before you need to board. I'm so over those that complain and expect others to be responsible for their own incompetencies. |

| I think sometimes you get the service you get depending on your approach. Remember the person working the desk doesnt own the business or make the rules they just follow them.I have had jetstar on two occasions break protocol without cost to me. Once (and it was my weror ) i booked my daughter on a flight accidentally not realising i hadn't changed the Mr (used for her brother) to the miss for her.Altho in theory that vcan incur a cost they said cause it wa less than 24hrs after the booking was made it was free. Then when my son did schoolies last year we needed to change some pre booked cheap fares. This time they actually gave a full credit available for 12 months when one boy had to cancel even tho it was a non refund ticket. They did it cause they said they knew schoolies was a big thing for kids.I think if you approach kindly it helps. |

RUBBISH RUBBISH AND MORE RUBBISH !!!!
United Airlines will NEVER EVER "bump" people off a flight without a) their permission and b) with an offer of compensation !
I have, on many occasions, been "bumped", with my permission and I get the next available flight with usually a token in my pocket for a few hundred dollars and/or a token for future travel.
You are talking nonsense zarine ( and racist nonsense at that !) |

| Bumping when you have time can be quite profitable, and I agree it isn't done without permission. Its worth waiting back a bit as they up the ante with each passing few minutes lol |

jetstar are far better than tiger when it comes to making sure you're on time,
I have been at the check in counter, last bag checked in, and they come to see if there is anyone still checking in before they close the flight,
try getting tiger to do that, not a chance |

Jetstar's target market is the battling masses who are accustomed to compromise.
If you don't see youself belonging to this group, then fly Qantas. Otherwise, don't whinge. |

Always heard bad stories about Jet Star and had never flown them until a few weeks ago when my mate and I flew up to the goldie to watch the Tigers take on the Titans and fly back home after the game.
Another Tigers fan was sitting 2 rows infront of us and they were having an aisle discussion about the St George/Souths game (major upset) when a stewardess very loudly told both of them to shut up cause no body wants to hear their crap.
My friend didn't even realize she was talking to him, as she was standing behind him, so he continued to talk. She then yelled at him to shut up or else she will get the head steward down there.
My mate, confused at the idea of being told to shut up when people were still getting on the plane, wasn't being loud and had the right to talk told her to get the head steward.
She storms off and the head steward comes down and asks a few generic questions and asks if he can keep the noise to a minimum. My friend says he has been good, is not being loud and asked him to tell his stewardess to stop being a b1tch.
Now...according to the law calling a stewardess a b1tch is a security threat. So for the next 35 minutes the plane was delayed while Federal Police, the Aviation Authority, the pilot and the head steward discussed my mates threat level.
After this time the head steward came back and said that the Pilot has agreed to allow him to stay on but if he causes 1 more disruption federal police will be waiting for him at Sydney Airport.
I honestly don't get it. I don't drink and was obviously then completely sober. I have no biased towards friends who are obviously in the wrong. But this stewardess went out of her way to be a completely rude b1tch to my friend and when my friend called her on it, he is a major security threat.
The funniest part is my mate, in exacerbation to the head steward, asked if he had called the stewardess a cow instead would have that been okay and he said yes cause it's not an obscene word. |
