American tourist has a question

I may or may not be travelling to Australia for an extended trip. I heard the internet speed is absolutely awful over there, can anyone give any more details on this?

At times you will need to show patience. It works and gets the desired job done. It is still electronic and not horse driven as many may think. Do not let this fact put you off your trip. There will be so many things to do that you wont have time for the internet. Just use SMS to the outside world.

depends on where you are and what type of connection you can get in your area and how close you are to the exchange. you can check http://www.speedtest.net/global.php

im sure you will love australia so much to do i hope you dont spend all your time online!

it's G awful slow in Australia...best to avoid the internet when down under so you leave the country with a favourable impression...although...l eaving Australia with a favourable impression could be a task in itself...why don't you go somewhere else instead???...
