hieronymusbsch,
Funny reading this from near Bombala in NSW, i know all these places mentioned in the last entries.
Brings back many memories.
Did any one drink at ALBION HOTEL in Carlton ??
I have drunk& eaten at the places mentioned ,the Club, etc.
I went to the Albion till it closed and it was a good place to talk and drink, best company.
Always about 5-6 parties every night and girls were easy to score!!
Watsons is over the road, you needed a lot of stamina !
Mostly it was not possible to ride my Ducati, i didnt try, took the car.

Hey crazy, I had a couple of drinks at the albion. I used to know the barmaid from there, blonde chick, was a hot little thing. I actually used to work with her sister at a pub in Smith St Collingwood. The Grace Darling Hotel, just next to The Club.

There was this pub near Punt rd richmond and the rail station , East melbourne, you go over the rail line a few bends towards Molly Meldrums place, used to be run by dykes.
We used to get pretty wasted after the pub, i never liked it much there but we got onto a lot of good parties in Prahran and so on.
My mate Ron had a Rickman Kwaka and he thought he was pretty hothe had the bike chained up outside, round the back wheel.
I had a Ducati 750 Sport. Ron could be boring as he was too much at times. He wanted a big drag down the road to see who was fastest. He was mad keen to show me..... , any way i quietly pointed to the back wheel and like a smarty he gave me the finger. At that point i thought this will be a laugh. We revved up and he took off only to have the bike fall over, whilst i headed down the road , i retuned to ask what happened.
For me it was a bit of fun and a good result.
Ron said something about me being a cunk and having gotten him!

The Club?!! That is the place we used to swear we wouldn't end up at the end of the night/morning. It was always pleasant stumbling out and falling over the junkies huddled in the doorstop.....You've brought back some pretty wild memories, buzz.

After getting well and truly hammered at the club, we would often wander over to "dimples" if they were open, or into the city to "The melbourne waiters club" for a feed.... lol

I havent been to Melbourne in a while, but used to go to a really nice steak house called Millers Grill and it was the best food. Does anyone know if it still exists. I cant remember the suburb, but it was not far from Hawthorn.

John, I dont know about Melbourne either but there are certainly many many Burger King restaurants in NSW. In Australia we have the chain of Taco Bills not Taco Bells, which are all over Australia, incuding Melbourne.
