Keep 'em coming
I have been to race meets where only 1 or 2 favourites win on the day, so even if we get favs...I don't care as long as they win. A lot of the favs in the melbourne spring carnival did not win.
I am a very cautious punter...no big $$ fo me just $10 here or $20 there....I am not driven by greed......a small useful win is fine |

Today we have heard that if the ETS is passed by both houses of parliament, it is likely to cost every Australian an extra $1,100 a year... and that is just a conservative estimate.
So what better incentive to get what little money you have left from Rudd's stimulus handouts and use it to make some much needed tax free income this Saturday. Trust me, why work for some extra income when we can earn it tax free doing nothing.
So just get ready for the good oil... (no... not the sort that creates CO2 emissions)! |

Now that there is some light at the end of the tunnel that Rudd's ETS maybe doomed, thus saving us from his nightmare "global warming tax", we can now get down to some serious business of making some much needed tax free income.
So, what do you know?
Race 5 Moonee Valley - LUCKY THUNDER
God strike us down if this 4 year old entire doesn't get into a placing... if not win!
He's down in class in this race.
My only reservation is that an apprentice jockey is piloting him instead of usual jockey Danny Nikolic.
Race 7 Moonee Valley - AMBERINO
This 6 year old mare is expected to get into the money.
Her track work has been sensational.
With champion jockey Damien Oliver ton board, what else is there to say!
Ok... now, this next one is only for the brave hearted... for punters who want to test their heart rate and blood pressure and are prepared to die in the process or at least risk their money... so the rest of you, stay clear:-
Race 6 Moonee Valley - MINNESOTA SHARK
Two weeks in a row at trackwork, this 4 year old entire has displayed the "gallop of the week". On Tuesday, he clocked 1:10 over 1000m, the last 400m in 25 seconds.
Jockey Steven King is on board again, which should be an advantage.
To continue with Sydney:-
Race 2 Randwick - MERENSKY REEF
This 4 year old gelding is expected to peak in this race.
Trained by the "Queen of Sydney Turf" Gai Waterhouse, this stayer should land in the money.
Race 6 Randwick - WASTED EMOTIONS
This 7 year old gelding has been racing pretty well in elite company.
He's down in class. Don't be surprised whatever beats him will win.
My only reservation is that an apprentice jockey is piloting him... but I'll give the jock the benefit of the doubt!
Let me just say one thing... I give these tips before knowing what the track conditions will be.
Anyway, there you have it. Get your weekend pocket money ready to earn you that promised tax free income. And remember... winners are grinners! |

Hmmnnn... it was a very disappointing performance by Lucky Thunder (was in the box seat then mysteriously dropped off) and Amberino (Oliver clearly must have ignored the riding instructions, finishing 4th. Those two cost me $20,000.
Merensky Reef (3rd - paid $1.50 for a place) delivered me a $5,000 profit.
Wasted Emoitions (1st - paid $1.90 for a place) delivered me a $9,000 profit.
Anyway, being $6,000 down this was pretty disppointing.
More disappointing for me though, was I then could not get on this message board to put you onto Secrets Untold in the last in Brisbane (1st - paid $2.10 for a place) which delivered me a $11,000 profit and then Ortensia in Perth Race 6 (1st - paid $1.70 for a place delivering me $7,000 profit.
So while I made a $12,000 profit for the day, I'm very pissed off with the two Melbourne rides. Trust me... just jot them in your little black book. They will win next up.
Anyway, I'll be back for next Saturday and hopefully avoid today's debacle. |

looks to me, from 6 races he's made money off four. That's a 66% strike rate or a ratio of 2 to 1 wins to losses.
and to make a $12K profit overall is bretty bloody good.

| Rubbish Dart at no time did NH talk of taking these horses for a place only. Last week if you had bothered to look I in a detailed analysis I proved he had made a loss of $4000. You work in a gold mine and I am an accountant. The horses he picked for a place did not amount to enough to cover his outlay. Still Dart as usual you make it up as you go along. |
