SPECIAL REPORT: THE father of a four-month-old baby found in a shallow bush grave in WA's South-West has admitted killing his son and dumping him in the bush.
John O'Kane, an unemployed truck driver, admitted murdering his son when he appeared by video link in the Supreme Court today.
He was remanded in custody for a psychiatric, psychological and pre-sentence report and will be sentenced on February 2 next year.

O'Kane is a serial child basher who was once jailed for a horrific, brutal assault on another of his children.

A real scumbag this one.
Aparrently he blinded another kid in one eye, and broke both its arms and legs.
makes you wonder why anyone would shack up and have kids with someone who had previosuly done soemthing like this, and then act all surprised when he does it again. |

The 41-year-old's guilty plea to the murder means his history of violence - including seven convictions in 1994 for blinding his baby son in one eye and fracturing all his limbs - can be made public for the first time.
_The West Australian _ has learnt that O'Kane was sentenced in NSW to six years jail for committing grievous bodily harm to Thomas O'Kane, who was six months old at the time.
Medical evidence presented to the NSW Supreme Court showed that Thomas had been punched, shaken and twisted violently by his father while living in a Cronulla caravan park with the baby's mother.
There were breaks to the infant's upper and lower right arm, lower left arm, ribs and both legs. An injury to his left eye had caused blindness.
"Thomas' injuries are almost unquestionably due to abuse and neglect and took place over a period of at least a month," the court documents say.
"One of the eye injuries was most likely caused by a direct blow to the globe of the eye."

This is unbelievable, this guy spent six years in jail for doing horrfic assaults on another son.
He has now murdered another son .
I am sick of hearing about there excuses.LIKE DRUGS <AND ALCOHOL.
Also i liked to know where the mother was.
Was she blind and could not see him ill treating the child.
What women stays with a man that hurts a baby.
The mother of this child should be jailed.
The mother has the responabilaty to protect her children.
I FEEL SICK just reading this. |

I agree, giving a grown woman a dose of physical violence is one thing - but a baby does not stand a chance.
maybe he hid his psycho past from the new wife, and she must have been daft, but she just might not have known how violent her really was.
you need to be careful, you should have a good idea about the person you have a child with and then even things go wrong.
but what an utter cruel evil man he is to have done such an awful crime, just a pr@k. |
