The discovery of the body of NZ toddler Aisling Symes in a deep drain in West Auckland has prompted local police to defend their initial search of the area.
Police have no idea how the two-year-old ended up 36 metres along the underground drain close to the Henderson property where she disappeared eight days ago.
I HATE TO TELL YOU THIS BUT YOU A/HOLES ARE SO HUNG UP ON PEADOPHILES YOU FORGOT THE BASICS !!

Four complaints about drain in five years - council
Waitakere City Council says it was looking at ways of fixing a flooding drain before Aisling Symes died in it.
The body of Aisling, two, was found last night by police down the drain in Longburn Rd, close to where she was last seen eight days ago.
A post-mortem examination found her death was consistent with drowning. She had no injuries and her death has been referred to the coroner.
Police revealed at a press conference today that the 20kg lid on the manhole on the drain was 8-10cm ajar when police arrived on the scene the day she disappeared.
Inspector Gary Davey said they looked down the drain twice the day Aisling disappeared and sent cameras down the next day.
He said police decided yesterday to dig the drain up due to blockages and they found Aisling 36m from the manhole and 1.5m underground.
onya Carrington, who had lived at a property adjoining that which Aisling was found, said she moved across the road earlier this year after watching the manhole cover blown off by water during periods of heavy rain.
Though rain was not heavy the afternoon Aisling disappeared, the drain should have been attended to, Ms Carrington said.
"The manhole would lift off and water would come pouring out in heavy rain," she said.
"We called the council and some councillors and it has been looked at, but it's never been fixed yet."

The fact that these abusers are in, or directed connected to, the major positions of power, within the police, justice, political, social services and medical industries, they can constantly cover up their actions.
