me and Wifey have 5 kids, every pregnancy we had to watch the same set of videos. One was called "DON'T SHAKE YOUR BABY!!!". It was about not shaking babies and terrible acting. In fact before we took our first baby home the hospital made shore we had people around to help. With the last two times they even sent nurses home with us to help my wife when she was having trouble coping.
I blame the mother first but the doctor who knew of the problem and the system who did not discover the problem also have blame to shoulder. Everyone has to help or people and babies die. |

Apparently, none of you have ever had to take care of children. This mother is not a "baby killer." She was probably sleep deprived, depressed, overworked and unable to cope.
This is not an excuse to shake a baby, however. Why didn't this mother have some help? Where was daddy? Nana's? Sisters, brothers, neighbors? The signs of a stressed out mother are very obvious. She will live with this tragedy for the rest of her life...
Before you judge her so harshly, walk a mile in her shoes...guarenteed you will change your mind. Try staying awake 19 hours a day with a six year old, a three year old, a two year old and a newborn...a husband who lives on the golf course, comes home and expects a dinner (from scratch) on the table...the house immaculate...a wife dressed up and ready to go out...oh, and she better have a smile on her face...a babysitter already there and waiting...kids bathed and sleeping... a mother-in-law whose sole purpose in life is to criticize...don't lift a finger to help...just criticize...
this scenerio is 24/7...some women have it much worse... |

| Mrsron, she was/is a drugged out lunatic who had her other children taken. The baby should have been taken too. This is not a mother who due to constant crying slipped out. This is a mother who choose drugs over her children. |
