A 14-YEAR-OLD schoolgirl has been dragged off the footpath of one of Sydney's trendiest streets by four men in a black 4WD and subjected to a horrific rape ordeal.
The girl has told police she was walking along Norton Street in Leichhardt, in the city's inner west, abound 5pm on Tuesday when she was approached by a black 4WD containing four men, The Daily Telegraph reports.
She was then allegedly taken to a laneway parallel to Lilyfield Road where she was sexually assaulted in the vehicle.
While two of the men held the girl down, she was raped by a third man, inside the vehicle.
After being released from the car, the girl told police she ran home and reported the sick attack.
She was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for examination that evening.
Detective Superintendent Paul Devaney said parents are encouraged sit down with their children and to reinforce Safe People, Safe Places messages.

I don't know the area, but looking at Google Street View, it is a very busy retail shopping strip
How is it possible for four men to drag someone, hopefully screaming, in to a car during shopping hours and have no-one intervene or apparently even witness the event ?
There is more to this than the Sydney tabloid knows, or is reporting

| I know this area well.. I have a dear old friend who lives just near there.. most of the houses are soundproofed against plane noise, and general noise about the place... it is incredibly busy, and is also an old area of town, plenty of nooks and crannies to hide, sadly I can see it happening... especially with FOUR men.. poor thing probably never got a sound out. |

The police should be more descriptive with the racial appearances of such people.

And when they find they males (they are not men) who did it,
they should give us their NAMES and SHOW their FACES!
I am tired of criminal's, thieves and murderers being shown respect and having their identities witheld. They are obviously animals and deserve to be ashamed and named.
