2 winners in OzLotto! Reply to this message
Well I wasn't one of them - but the $106 million first division prize was won by a middle aged couple on the Gold Coast and a single man in Adelaide. Each won $53m!

And like clockwork - the Gold Coast couple have decided to continue WORKING!

Is anyone else sick of these lotto winners saying they will continue working???

The rest of us millions who entered were desperate to win so we could tell our boss to shove it!

I think in future draws the winner(s) must sign a declaration swearing they will not go back to work. $53m is more than enough to retire very happily on!!!

Thankfully it seems the Adelaide guy actually needed the money. NOW that is what a lotto winner should be like!!!

I wanted to win so I could have a coat with no holes in it and a pair of gloves with all the fingers. Maybe a champion race horse or too as well. Is that too much to ask the Univerce for??

"Is anyone else sick of these lotto winners saying they will continue working???"

Why?

Working is good. Makes you feel useful and productive.

Winning a huge amount of money can be pretty stressful. It changes your life enormously, over night. If people can maintain the "normality" of their lives, to an extent, in this situation, it makes the transition much easier to deal with.

"Thankfully it seems the Adelaide guy actually needed the money."

I reckon that precious few people "need" $53 million ;-)

They are in shock, I'm sure once the enormity of the whole thing sinks in and they understand how much they have, they will find many other things to do other than working.

yep I'd make the transition slowly, I also wouldn't tell anyone exactly how much I'd won.

They should have had a Winning lotto action plan ready to go. Mine is ready enough that all the 50 odd million would be spent by thursday.

Well betteswollocks, money is wasted on these people, they will not know how to enjoy it anyway.
They should give it to me, I could then buy a nice 2nd-hand G5 and not have to fk about at airports anymore.

That's the go, when I sold out in the UK we moved to AUS, anyone on the bludge would have a long trip.
BTW Brian, I think you must live in the West, Montana maybe, where I am in Florida we have to conceal a weapon!

You're not even in Australia? But you feel you have the right to come here and tell us how to run our country?

My word of advice to them would be,"DON'T TELL THE MEDIA WHO YOU ARE", or you will be hounded by them all. Goodluck to both winners

Re:2 winners in OzLotto! Reply to this message
I agree with you move forward.... and who the heck's business is it anyway if they wish to continue working! Good on them. The SA man will be donating a large amt to charity, family and friends, so it's up to him what he does with his life.
