instead of opening your OP with an inflammatory comment-it might have been a better idea, to include details of this man's death; acknowledge that and leave it open to others to comment on this aspect alone; not draw comparisons.
You might as well have drawn compasisons with the unfortunate person who was credited with being the 4th swine flu victim.!

One dead, two hurt after Sydney shooting
26th June 2009, 6:00 WST
Police are continuing to investigate a triple shooting in Sydney's west overnight that left one man dead and two seriously hurt.
The driver of a semi-trailer was shot dead in the head on Milperra Road, Milperra, just after 10.30pm (AEST) on Thursday.
Several hundred metres away there was a shootout in the carpark of a KFC restaurant on Henry Lawson Drive.
One victim was shot in the chest and rushed to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition.
A second victim was shot in the stomach and made their own way to Bankstown Hospital in a similar condition.
The connection between the two crime scenes is not yet known.
A man has been arrested over the incident and taken to Bankstown Police station for questioning.
The Henry Lawson Drive/Milperra Road intersection remained closed for most of Thursday night and early on Friday morning as police examined the scene.
Macquarie Radio Network reported the truck the deceased man was sitting in was removed from the scene just before 5.30am (AEST) on Friday.
His family is yet to be informed he has been killed.
Police believe he may have been an innocent bystander who had nothing to do with the altercation in the KFC carpark.

Didn't appear inflammatory to me. All Muffins did was point out that an innocent person was killed while doing his job and it got overshadowed by the death of a chimp shagging freak with no nose.
Michael are you OK? Are you OK? Are you OK, Michael? |

While everyone goes on and ON about Michael Jackson . . .An innocent trucky was shot in the head and killed last night. 66 year-old Bob Knight still managed to pull over his rig so as not to injure anyone else.
><>
er no-that was her first comment-even before she commented on the death of the truck driver-or posted the link!
And I believe the thread on Micheal Jackson was posted;before muffins posted this thread.
There was no need to tie the deaths together at all.
They are two sepperate occurences-in two different countries-in different hemispheres of the globe-no connection.
Both sad or important; to those who feel affected insome way, by them.
If you believe a thread needs to be discussed-post it; but dont make an agenda, as your first comment; if you do not wish people to comment on that fact!
The original thread title is good-considering the agenda based ones ;that appear with too much regularity these days-but the first comment is inflammatory. |

Yes...gunfight at the KFC!
Handguns for thugs are illegal.
Guns for thugs are illegal.
Gunfights are illegal.
Whoever does anything about it?
'No one'!
Here's an idea:
The judiciary enforces the law!...and sentences any thug caught with a handgun to ten years in prison, as the law states! |

| I saw the truck drivers wife and their family on the news last night, and am inclined to agree with her in that it's more difficult to accept the death of a loved one when you know it wasn't an accident.... Despite the bullet being stray, this was no accident, rather was the thoughtless actions of some irresponsible law breaking idiot. It was a senseless death that should never have occurred. ...had he passed away due to an accident ...truck roll over etc...then you could at least get your head around this. |

| Ok, now I'm pis**d! How dare you! all of you!!!!!! Bob knight was a very close friend of mine. I have spent the last 48 hours crying my eyes out and to cheer myself up I searched the internet for comments on his death. Every single website I have been to has been amazing. I have saved all the comments to pass on to his family. Yes it is very upsetting to have MJ over shadow Bobs death, but, what can you do? This thread was supposed to be about Bob. Nothing else. and by the way, Bob was a beautiful, amazing man who did lots of work for charity. He would never do anything close to what MJ was accused of!!! How dare you, you insensitive git! You make me sick. |

As far as I'm concerned these gangsta types can play out their stupid fantasies all they like but I get real angry when a guy that has worked hard in an HONEST low status job all his life gets blown away because they want to act out. They think they are tough because they live outside the law and they probably look down on people who accept their lot in life and choose to be honest and hard working, do the right thing by their family!
This poor guy just doing his job, how incredible and unlucky that this stray bullet found him.
And them, they bring shame to themselves and the people and communities around them'

'Whether they were the shooter or not, each and every one of these dogs involved should be tried for murder.
That could have been anyone of us driving past'
