Police are searching for a convicted pedophile who has allegedly taken off his ankle bracelet and broken a home detention order.
NSW Corrective Services has issued a warrant for the arrest of 28-year-old Troy Myers who is on parole over a conviction for the aggravated sexual assault of a person under 16, police said.
"It is believed that Troy Myers left the Campbelltown residence during Sunday, 14 December and may now have disposed of the electronic monitoring system," NSW police said.
Myers is described as white/European in appearance, 184cm, with a medium build weighing about 72 kilos.
He has a fair complexion, green/hazel eyes and receding fair hair.
Police said he often frequents the Bankstown area, is considered dangerous and should not be approached by the public. |

Their is the school of thought that Haplogroup R which is the Basque/Celt tribal DNA root ay have decended from Cromagnon Man while The caucasian, Northern European, Germanic, Anglosaxon man may have arizen from Neanderthal man.
So when we a putting out a description and a profile on a criminal like a pedo we should not quibble about it - Meyers is an Anglo Saxon of Germanic and Caucasian appearance and I for one hope they get this scum off the street.

A CONVICTED pedophile who absconded from home detention on Sunday has been recaptured, the NSW Department of Corrective Services says.
Troy Myers, 28, was handed over at Campbelltown Police Station in Sydney's south-west by the department's Community Compliance Group (CCG) about 3.30pm (AEDT) today.
Corrective Services Commissioner Ron Woodham said CCG officers worked around the clock to find Myers after he took off his electronic monitoring bracelet and left his Campbelltown home on Sunday.
"With the support of my officers in the community compliance team, this offender's family convinced him to give himself up," Mr Woodham said in a statement.
Myers was released from prison in September after serving a four-year sentence for aggravated sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault on a person under 16 years of age. |
