Dr. Sunder said the investigators chose not to use the computer model to evaluate whether a thermite-fueled fire might have brought down the tower, since 100 pounds of it would have had to have been stacked directly against the critical column that gave way, which he said they did not believe had occurred.

Why would you not check to see if thermite could have been used......

| The fire proofing was knocked off the structural beams during the crash into the buildings leaving the exposed metal! and the plane fuel was so hot that the exposed metal collapsed. |

"It wont melt, but it will soften."
The main structural damage that fire causes to a steel constuction is due to expansion of the metal itself. The expansion causes joins to weaken and sheer as well as distortion to the basic structure. |

<< It wont melt, but it will soften.>>
Two questions I have about this -
1) If it was hot enough to melt/soften thick steel, then why are there pictures of people standing right next to the hole the plane made and no fire to be seen.
2) Why were the steel columns immediately whisked away to China? This was the scene of the worst criminal attack in US history and yet vital evidence was disposed of before it could even be examined. |

Cheers for watching, why were these the first steel frame buildings to fall. And more importantly WTC 7 which was a modern builing that was not hit by a plane. Watch how perfectly it falls. You have to ask your self WTF |

I didn't see any people 'living or otherwise standing next to the fire ball explosion! and secondly it was hot enough to soften/melt steel!
Secondly what columns...there millions of tons of twisted metal in "the enormous pile" ....be more specific! |
