| Personally I see no difference to this photo of a 6 year old girl to child pornography. How many paedophiles will now say all their photos in their computers are "art" not sexual? I think its wrong, I have children & there is no way I would give consent for this sort of thing to happen to them. Kevin Rudd said it right. |

| What is wrong with a naked child, it just shows an inocence it is not pornagraphic and it is really quite sweet, has Australians lost the plot, have the Phedo's distorted every one. It is sad I use to take photos of children, not naked but dressed but to day due to the narrow minded people that abound I am not game to point a camera at a child in fear that I might be charged with some terrible sin, children make the best photos because they are inocent history of this age will think there were no children. |

These so called artists are nearing their expiry dates and what a convenient issue to take is to exploit the fragile state of children. SICKENING!
These parents should know that when their so called art is posted in the porn sites, then, it becomes pornographic.
Of course, withdraw the funding of these type of nonsense Mr. Rudd.
What is next? enroll these kids to vote, legalise their age, send them to work and pay taxes coz' clearly this is what these kids are doing. Then they can pose nude however they like and get paid properly. Wait, the paedophiles are salivating about this idea! |

as far as I am concerned not much. But you fail to see the point of the photo. it is about 'freedom' from the tyrannical small-minded people who would ban anythign and evrythign they do not like. I did not like the photo but thats nowhere near good enough a reason to ban it. |

Now that we have all seen this girl as she is several years later...
Do her parents feel any safer allowing her to walk to the local corner shops?
Do they think she is safer catching the school bus from a block away?
Will she be more or less respected by her peers and teachers - and other parents?
Does she have any male teachers who now feel compelled to look at her - maybe even touch her? |

Exactly, This Robert Nelson is an art critic. His critique is his own opinion.
It is clear to me that he expresses a side of his male imagination that agonisingly persists in spite of all discouragement (using words like lurid, obsession, confessional, lustful, darkness, shadows and gropingly)... words that are used in pornographic texts!
Against this background, I am convinced that he abused, manipulated, brainwashed and exploited his own child's innocence and fragility. And, broadcast it to the whole world! |

| It's not the photo itself that I find offensive, it's the thought that someone might be looking at it for other reasons. I think a photo like that should be in the photo album at home not publicly displayed and circulated on the internet. But then again I don't think my mother ever took a nude photo of me when I was six, a baby maybe but not that age. |
