My kids are at the age that girl was when that picture was taken,they are to put in my family album not on the front page of a mag so all can see in protest for Bill Henson as the parents stated, remember they said they did it to show support for Bill Henson, not for the sake of art.
Things like that is up to the child when they are of legal age 16yrs old, not the parents !! |

I don't agree with Rudd on much (well nothing actually) but he is spot on here, this kids parents should be ritually flensed.
Us poor parents do all we can to keep our kids on track and the sneering, elitist, arty world pi ss es in our faces and we are forced to subsidize their garbage!
And yes I am totally against public funding of the "arts" if their work is good it will sell, if it ain't then *** k 'em! |

Ah the age old debate. Is it art or just some wan.ker trying to justify his government funded grant. Why should we be funding these parasites. If their art is good enough it will sell. If it doesn't sell they will have to get a real job. |

I agree with what you said - I`m just pointing out that we shouldn`t react to the point of kids not being able to have natural innocent childhoods & parents not being able to photograph their own kids playing sport etc. As to that Henson idiot & the relevant grubby little magazine - anyone who puts their own career above the seriousness of this sort of issue deserves everything they get - as long as it`s all bad. |

| i am a young mum of a 3yr old boy and 9week girl i dont see why it is so wrong for a responsable parent to take pictures of their child.i for instance have plenty of nude pictures of my children from birth to playing in the yard on a hot summer day under the sprinkler, and beautiful portraits from professional places that you get done at a shopping center, only that my childs private areas you dont relly see, i say if you dont like it look away your not being forced to look. |
