Her trial was a joke!
'And the fact is that Lily was lame in court. She often cried, but rarely stood up to ask questions. Merc and I were always scribbling notes to her, trying to get her to fire up, challenge a witness, say something, do something.
She usually just sat there, often on her phone sending text messages. I was praying the texts were strategies or questions from Vasu or Ron or Robin. But they weren't. I realised how little focus she had when I glimpsed a text message as I sat next to her at the bench. An important witness was up and I was willing her to get up and fire questions. 'Come on Lily, please. This is my life' [thought].
Then the text came through. I saw what appeared to be a flirty message from Ron. I went numb. I couldn't believe it. I slumped back in my seat, thinking, 'You're kidding! This is my life and you're sending f...... lovey-dovey text messsages?' She got all hot and bothered and started fanning herself. I just sat there, very scared and very, very alone.' |

Guilty people pleading NOT guilty do not request evidence that they cannot control.
Its a fundamental basic in criminology.
So why did Schapelle request so much evidence? |

c_371958. Bambu is a pathetic d1ckhead who thinks that all drug peddlers should be made national heros.He also believes that he is not subject to any foreign laws that dont suit his warped drug induced thought patterns.
Bambu also thinks that because any Australian holding a passport is immune to any prosecution in a foreign
country simply because they are not a citizen of that country. |

Whether Shapelle is innocent or guilty is not an easy thing to tell.
However, in Australia she would have been released, here's why.
1.The drugs weren't tested for origin.
2.The bag containing the drugs were not fingerprinted
3.The drugs were destroyed and the bag containing them discarded.
These three facts are why Shapelle should probably be free. The reason is that the above three facts have obliterated her ability to defend herself
They simply destroyed her chances of building a case for herself by destroying the only evidence she had available to her.
I'm not saying she is innocent, only that she has been denied the ability to defend herself properly, either by design or by incompetence, and that as far as I am concerned is reason enough for her to be let go. |

blackwaterice - I used to but not anymore.
After seeing that doco 2 weeks ago, I found two things particularly interesting.
1. Corby didn't want the doco released until all appeals had been exhausted.
2. The defence team admitted that that 'baggage handler' defence strategy was a fabrication.
Perhaps the idea for that particular strategy came from Corby's first lawyer 'Notso' Hotman Paris, who was released from any further service after a short time, and the next defence team had to go with what had already been stated.
And perhaps that defence team had issues about basing a defence strategem on a lie. |

last night on Fox thre was a great program on CI called "banged up abroad"
anyone thinking about smuggling drugs into asian countries that have severe penalities should watch these programmes, and if the message still doesnt get through then you deserve what you get....

enrgized4u - thanks for making sense.
milf - he didn't "make up" the defence. He put forward a possibility as to how the drugs got in the bag which is what lawyers do. Have a read of what the law society said about it.
Tampoe said he "made it up" just to harm the Corbys. Bakir and Tampoe are hell-bent on destroying them. It was Bakir who lined up the TT interviews with Power.
Besides, how can he be sure that baggage handler's DIDN'T do it? Nobody knows if they did it or not.
If he "knew" Schapelle was guilty, why did he say, "Now she believes the baggage handlers did it. They all *** kin believe it". |

Hotman was brought in AFTER Tampoe etc were dismissed. Hotman is one of Indonesia's most corrupt lawyers. Schapelle signed consular documents requesting the marijuana be tested. The Bali Police refused to test it, and Hotman went against Schapelle's wishes by telling the court, "As the origin of the marijuana is not in dispute, it doesn't need to be tested". He was colluding with the prosecution. The marijuana was from Indonesia.
Do some research on Hotman. |

Perhaps you can explain why Mercedes admittted on film that she arrived at the airport with cash to bribe the officials???
IF her sister/family were innocent and she knew so why would she need to do this?? The first thing she should have done was get someone to call the embassy to arrange a lawyer NOT collect money to bribe! |
