Bakir's brother faces drugs charges
The brother of former Schapelle Corby backer Ron Bakir allegedly forced a Gold Coast man to import a quantity of the date rape drug fantasy, a court has heard.
A committal hearing in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday heard Yassar Bakir, a member of the Finks bikie gang, pressured Ben Radcliff to import the drug by taking his car and wallet while in the car park of a Gold Coast hotel in April 2006.
Mr Radcliff told the court he had been selling up to 20 litres of fantasy between mid and late 2005 but had stopped after being arrested in December that year and was trying to get his life on track.
He said Bakir and co-accused Steven Milton Hill assaulted him and forced him to hand over his wallet and the keys to his BMW before demanding he provide him with a large quantity of the drug on his behalf.
Mr Radcliff said Bakir warned him not to contact police.
The court heard he then called associate Candice Ruth Gray and asked her to arrange to import $17,000 worth of fantasy from Asia.
He then convinced his friend Anthony Keith Broad to pay part of the cost of the shipment, telling him Bakir didn't know how large the shipment was and they could split the remainder between them.
Bakir and Hill are facing a string of charges including importing a border controlled drug, robbery, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and deprivation of liberty.
Gray and Broad are facing one count each of importing a border controlled drug while Radcliffe has been granted immunity from prosecution.
Yassar Bakir was not present in court on Monday but his brother Ron, who gained national attention for his support of drug runner Schapelle Corby, was in the public gallery.
The committal hearing is expected to continue until Friday. |

Correct me if I am wrong ...... On Shapelle Corby The Hidden Truth didn't Ron Bakir and his mother make strong comments against drug traffickers and call Schapelle and her family trash and scum??????? Funny how things go around hey
And of course didn't Ron look horrified when he believed she may be guilty and what did the mother say????? The Hidden Truth portrayed Ron and mum to be good decent people with strong morals against drugs. Yassar Bakir Ron Bakir's brother arrested and facing a committal hearing for drug importation

Schapelle of course, was nailed to the cross of injustice, a flower of the Commonealth used and abused in Muslim Indonesia...have the Bali bombers had their heads blown off yet?...the same as another flower of the Commonwealth, Michelle Palmer, is being used and abused in Muslim Dubai, to be sentenced to six years in a horrid Islamic prison on Oct 16 without even a trial...she was depressed and sick and couldn't attend an earlier hearing and her Oct 7 trial was just CANCELLED!
Schapelle has not had a bath or shower since her arrest [well except for her hospitalisation for a complete mental breakdown in that new hospital WE built]...she is made bathe from a bucket of cold water and to scoop out the water.
RATS run over her body at night, and ants bite and scar her.
Schapelle Corby IS innocent...of receiving human rights! |

Can't we just leave the Corby female to her fate.
Why bring it up again, no one wants to know any more about her.
The drugs they peddle for money wreck the lives of whole families and kill our youth. All so the drug runners can have a bit of fun with extra cash.
Forget about her and the others who tried and lost. Good riddance.
