| What a terrible shock to hear this sad news. Jane was a beautiful young woman and such an inspiration to all women. May Glenn and their children find peace in all the beautiful memories of her and be so proud of the courage with which she lived her life. To all you Australians who loved this good family I send my deepest sympathy. Glenn is the reason I learned to love the game of cricket. |

We looked after my mother at home as she battled metastatic liver disease after breast cancer as her primary. Whilst the time was horrendous as I was only 24, I am glad we kept her at home.
I am a nurse and have seen some terrible things happen to palliative patient's and there is no way I would let her die in hospital. Death is heard enough, but the peace of mind knowing our loved ones die where I think most would like to is a huge weight off our minds.
I too thought Jane had beaten her next bout of cancer. I thought my mother dying at 47 ws too young but 42 is terrible.
My best wishes to the family. xo |

That is such a shame.
Glen and Jane came down to my hometown late last year to raise awareness for Breast Cancer. I stood right next to Jane when it was being filmed, and she seemed so full of life. I thought she was getting better.
It was such a shock to hear this news, and I hope Glen and the kids deal with this okay. |

My heart goes out to the beautiful family. I read her book a few years ago, and was so touched and have always been interested by anything on the news.
She leaves behind a rainbow of beautiful memories and strength to give to others who are sharing the battle she had. |

Thank you, Jane, for the hope and encouragement you gave ALL those diagnosed with cancer, whatever the type.
Although this battle may be lost to you, ultimately the war will be won thanks to your example and championship.
May angels guide you ... peace to the McGrath family and their friends.
Peace,
rose anne. |

'it is insensitive to have in the subject "Jane McGrath dead" '

Not really
It's factual and it's honest
'Passed away', 'passed on' and 'passed over' are the sentiments of denial
Death and dying are part of life
The word does not need to be avoided

A soldier has fallen in the fight against a horrible disease that is affecting so many young women today!
Your spirit and your hope will give strength to those who have this demon to battle. Bless you Jane McGrath, and may you rest in peace.....
As I said in the other thread
Davidsteel, rinse your mouth out with buckshot! |
