| I have advanced breast cancer too, Jane was my mentor , I thought she was doing well. So sad to lose a beautiful person like her who has done so much good. Terrible for the children to lose their mother while they are so young RIP Jane |

now, you state that you have brest cancer as well... did you ever were on pill or hormonal therapy?
i would suggest, seeking and researching actually vit c mega-doses and vit e mega-doses...
skip milk and milk products as well... and ask for detailed description of your chemiotherapy, then grab all your papers, xrays and go to another doctor - best in another town... but let another doctor do all tests and xrays without showing him these what you already get... |

i was so sad when i heard that jane had died my heart went out for her family especially her young children.
glen she was (and still is) inspiration to all young and old woman.

| gaius_baltar, the loss of jane is no greater then the loss of any other mother, wife, daughter, friend etc. But jane did use her profile to highlight the issue of breast cancer, raise money for research, raise money for breast cancer nurses, establish the mcgrath foundation, and show people a positve bright young woman dealing with a terrible illness. |

Jan was a spokesperson for breast cancer and those whose families and friends have suffered from any form of cancer would be pleased that it has been brought to the fore again.
You can NEVER take enough precautions.
Thanks to Jan, and others like her, there are woman (and most likely men, who have thought about their own particular symptoms and taken steps to be checked out) who are alive today.
I'd like to give thanks to her husband and family, who agreed to such a public farewell, when I'm sure their grief really demanded a private one. I thank you for such bravery and thought for others, above your own needs. |
