| I am not an Aussie but I love cricket, especially Aussie cricket and I would agree with you on this. Everytime you saw Glenn on the field, you would never guess the suffering behind the scene - he is a consumate professional. This attitude reflects not only his professionalism and courage, but importantly the quiet strength of Jane. Her calm fortitude amidst her struggles reminded me of my mother who also died of cancer. Rest in Peace, Jane. And to Glenn and the children, my condolences. |

A very sad day indeed. We all will miss the smiling face of Jane that I saw in Sydney Morning Herald and Pray for Jane's peace in Heaven. Glenn and the young kids, be brave to bear the unbearable and the only consolation we all can take is in these words "People who are loved by God die Young"

To dear Glenn, James and Holly McGrath and the Steele Family, it is with great profound shock and sadness to hear of your beloved wife and mother to your beautiful children, who was also a daughter, sister and aunt sudden death! I was watching the news on Sunday night when I had heard of the sad news and I will say the feeling on hearing this was the same, as when I recieved and experienced the shock through me from head to feet when I found out when my partner was diagnosed with a terminal illness and since passed away 14 years ago! I just want to say that my heart goes out to you all in this sad time and period of grief. Jane as a woman firstly, a wife and beautiful mother was an inspiration not only to me and my family but to other Australians, a very determined, courageous inspirational and brave woman whose beauty shone from within! May Jane McGrath rest in peace, no longer in pain and is on her way to be an Angel in heaven for her Glenn, James and Holly - she will smile down on you from now on! May time be gentle and heal you in your loss and suffering!
May her Legacy live on from here!
Yours Sincerely
Brendon Conway |

| pardon my ignorance, but what do they mean by the "sticky" beside this thread. something to do with how it doesn't move from the top regardless of the last post? |

That dreaded disease!!!
My family lost an aunt and a brother in law to this dreaded disease in October just gone...1 week apart...left 1 funeral to go and sit with my aunty at her home and watch her die with dignity in her own home surrounded by family and friends...theres no better way
To Glen, Holly, James and families my heart bleeds for you all.
You will always have the beautiful memories that you have all shared, to help comfort and guide you through your lives...RIP Jane...Til you all meet again |

my previous condolences to the family were deleted, i do not know the reason for that as there was nothing insulting, only sorrow expressed for the family loss.
now, all ladies on these boards, declaring that you are affected by breast cancer - could you please answer if you were on pill or hormonal therapy, before or during your ilness?
it is not an idle question... |

| I was shocked when I heard that Jane McGrath died.I watched her bubbly personality on your interview with her & she convinced the world that she was doin' just great. It was a long battle & her family must have had a lot of ups & downs over the years with her illness. Her one legacy is the children that she gave to her family eventhough she was ill & now they will find strength in them because of her unconditional love. This is so sad her positive attitude helped so many to cope too. Glen has a lot of good memories to hold in his heart & to help him through this. My condolences to her family. |
