surely the point of this....is not the photograph as such....but the age of the child...
to my utter dismay I did see some photos of children taken by a paedophille..off the internet...once a long time ago...
they were, I was led to believe mild...the children boys and girls were about 9..to..13/14..and were just standing smiling at the camera naked of course...
Now I can only assume that had these very same photos appeared in a Art Gallery they would be acceptable...
I am sure these poses if they were of a nude adult would be quite beautiful....if thats your thing......
however from what little I have seen...and the age of the child they look quite provocative....and not the sort of pose a child of that age would normally adopt....
I dont think I am old fashioned by a long shot.....
but to me no child should be posed in the nude for any reason whatsoever..............w e can all boycott Cates films I suppose....I have never seen one anyway...so I wont make a difference........but for what its worth, I believe this judgement has set back the safety of our children for years......
I cannot believe any of these people that have just been arrested for child porn....will not use this case.....as a reason not to be charged........The police must be shaking their heads in disbelief........Another shameful day for Australia. |

Isn't that viewpoint exceptionally narrow? nudity does not equal pornography. some say the difference between Henson and Child porn are only a matter of degree. Well, yes... if you consider 180 degrees a 'matter of degree'. the difference is ENORMOUS not just small. and remember the classification board - the experts - disagree with you too. |

Do you find this "provocative"?
As far as the Henson photographs I've seen are concerned....I don't see them as either good photographs or "provocative" ....but then I'm not an art expert.
If you see them as provocative...I'd seek some help.
Being familiar with the naturist environment, you may be surprised to know that some men can mingle socially with humans of all ages without covering, and without seeing them as provocative.
Perhaps if some of them were clothed ....this may be the case? |

I personally did see much artistic merit in the pictures... but they ARE NOT pornography
anyone who thinks they are has some issue....
the classification board totally dismissed the suggestion they are "child porn"..
perhaps the people who are jumping up and down about this in fact see something inthe pictures that scares them... i.e. they see them in a sexual way when this is obviously NOT the intent.. |
