Hey, have any of you actually seen Hensens work or are you just going by what you've read about him and the images you see online?
This situataion is RIDUCLOUS, Kevin Rudds comments on the images being "revolting" are out of line. I'm deeply disappointed at his remarks. It seems with still have yet another small minded idiot running the country - well, at least he'll get a few more votes now. No one even knows how the photos came about - for all we know, there could have been a team of people including parents there. And the crucifixion has begin before anyone has been given a chance to respond.
Anyone how has ever seen Hensons work will know that there is absolutely no sexual connotations in the work whatsover. Yes, paedophiles should be systematically wiped off the planet but Bill Henson is NOT a paedophile. The images are NOT pornographic.
This STUPID poll about young girls being used in photographs should in no way be used to define this case. Its completely RETARDED!!!
What is the the most revolting thing is the people whose revolting little minds who find muck where there is none. SHAME ON YOU!! |

why is everyone focussing on a little gallery when target got away with selling certain clothing to kids???? would money and big commercial orgs have anything to do with it.......

my daughter had a friend in grade 1 that was a 'model and actress' - did TV commercials and fashion parades and catalogues. at age 6 she had done heaps of underwear modelling for big w. her mother had these pics proudly displayed all over her home, and i particularly recall the child bringing in a catalogue for 'show and tell' - where she was in her knickers and 'bra'. she was proud of herself, because her mother had instilled that in her from as early as she could remember. it was all a bit bizarre really...
but the paeds could pick up one of these catalogues in their mail box every day of the week, home-delivered and free of charge. |

here is another thought to ponder - to all the genuinely concerned posters on this thread...
there are 20 pages of replies here. probably what, 100 different posters? odds are there are a couple of paedophiles among them. can you pick them??? you probably wouldn't in real life either. they are probably your neighbour, your friend, that man sitting next to you on the train... and as long as you are baying for blood in the distance, you are unlikely to see what is much closer to home |

reidsy, we all know about the child porn and rock spiders out there. This is another issue. Child porn and paedaphilia are both illegal., and apparently so is publishing indecent articles, which the police deemed these photos to be.
It's not taking away from the bigger issues, it's adding to them. |

however...perhaps this artist DID need pulling up...and is strong enough to take the flack for all the other 'indiscretions':(
still think the viewing of same is miniscule to the broader 'biggies':(

If most of your raving lunatic posters had actually SEEN the photos you would cringe and slink away. Perhaps your only image of nude photography is playboy or internet adult porn. These are nothing like it. IN fact, you'd need a good imagination to see anything. IN some, she could have been wearing a bikini bottom and you woudlnt see the difference.
If you stop thinking 'porn' you might actually be able to think. |

yet also..relevant to it!!!....at one stage men were seen as ONLY rational, with emotions or feelings to be denied...
