**The point as I see it is not whether it is pornographic or not, rather should photos of nude underage girls be accepted as legitimate in any form of media, be it art, advertising, movies etc.**
Thankyou ripfelix.
I know whats in my heart although although I am not to good at expressing it. My 12 year old daughter has been very interested in this debate, and she is more disgusted than I am that in her words "poor girl's" parents see this as OK. She is going through puberty and no matter how many times I tell her its all natural she gets outraged if I walk in on her in the bathroom or bedroom. I had mentioned in another post on this topic that these kids did not look comfortable in these shots. |

Freedom of speech has nothing to do with the exploitation of underage children. People in the art world who believe this is art are kidding their mentally deprived minds. It is ironic that society classes an Adult movie as X-Rated because of real sex instead of simulated sex. Why isn't the sophisticated members of the art world expressing their outrage that movies of this type can be classified as R Rated instead of trying to justify photos of underage girls as art.
And believe me I am no do-gooder either when it comes to the world of adult entertainment. |

As a parent of a 13yr old girl my question is "What sort of parent allows their child to pose for the pictures in the first place?"
Same goes for the parents who allow their naked babies to appear on the paedophile porn adds for baby wipes and nappies! |

thats right, if the little bottoms weren't on our tv we wouldn't know we had to wipe them.
as offensive as ads for womens sanitary products imagine what the world would be like if no one knew about...
or the late night ti ts n bum s mobile chat send me a movie so i can show the kids at school tomorrow ads that depict barely legal girls selling sex chat.
More than being offensive, these things are insulting. |

the trouble with this whole debate is that there is no way of settling it.
was it eve's fault for tempting adam, or adam's fault for taking a bite?
or was it that darned old devil, Satan? |

Talk about cant see the forrest because of the trees.. never a better example has been set than many of the comments in this forum...
It's all about certain peoples rights to free expression. This is fine if the setting is appropriate, but all these things should be considered in accordance with the place and the time.
Right now it appears Australia (the place) have a growing epidemic of peadaphilia (the time) andTherefore the priority should be what is best for the kids and not our likes and dislikes, demands and rights etc... |

Pretty simple really. Do you condone exploitation of underage children or not? |

I've made a few comments earlier in the day regarding this thread....mainly related to Naturism .....and its well evidenced lack of negative effect on children.
Are these gallery images a different situation?
You can consider this yourself...go to the INF (International Naturist Federation) site.....representing over 300,000 Naturists belonging to affiliated clubs throughout the world....please tell me what you think.
There site is: www.inf-fni.org/ |

| It doesnt matter if its being passed off as art. If doesnt matter if the parents were ok with it. It doesnt matter if the child was ok with it. It does matter that society should not accept it and a the majority of society knows that there is something seriously wrong with take pictures of a naked 12 yr old. |

I sincerely hope the bottom line for all here, is the global minimisation of the sexual abuse of children.
I respectfully put it to you, that the children of couples who are involved in Naturism are the least likely to encounter such sexual abuse.
Or is this a different issue? |

I've been wondering for the past couple of weeks, whether I am the only one who is disturbed by that car ad which shows images of different members of a "family" separately juxtaposed in the foreground?
Personally, I cringe everytime I see the haunting freeze on the docile "Goldilocks" girl near the end of the ad...not least because I don't think that it is any coincidence that she looks remarkably like that missing Madeline... |

| I am glad they are pressing charges, it was exploitation of a child and the "artist" in question should not be allowed to take such pictures. |

Surely though gran, the children of naturalists, because of the desensitisation to nudism, may not be aware of the dangers posed by exhibitionism in the wider community.
What is acceptable, normal behaviour in the confines of a naturist setting, may be interpreted as sexual provocation in the outside world? |

| The problem with Naturism is that its a choice made by an adult and occasionally effects a child. The child has no say. And i have no problem with naturism but an adultshould not have the power to say a child can endure being naked because a parent has it as a lifestyle choice. |

I am un aware where it says its natural to subject ones' child to the lens of a camera when under the age of consent to have naked pictures taken of them.
The parent should look out for their child's best interests, not let them pose nude for a "artist" to make a quick buck. |

How would you feel if say at age 30 you discovered your parents ALLOWED naked photos to be taken of you when you were 12 years old and thousands of people got to see them and they were displayed publicly ?
Think about that if your one of the very few ppl who fail to see anything wrong with it !
Even the most educated child could never comprehend this sort of situation in life but what if the child for example has an intellectual disability and CANNOT speak up and say no or tell someone whats happening? HOW WOULD WE EVER KNOW ?? This is why society cannot simply accept the parents OK on things like this !!
THIS IS WHY WE HAVE LAWS in our SOCIETY so that we may ALL look out for all children and protect them regardless of whether there parents are ok with it or not!!
KIDS are KIDS for gods sake - and society is supposed to proptect a child when a parent does not or cannot - end of debate !!! |

I discussed this earlier, when I mentioned the arrival of Christian missionaries in central Africa....who were aghast when they encountered all the "savages" being naked.
The missionaries proceed to "sensitise" the natives, who had been blissfully "desensitised" for 60,000 years.
In what way would it be wrong to promote global "desensitisation"? |

| I dont know the artist and I dont care who the artist was or is ,... male , female , black , white , famous , unknown , professional , amatuer - IT DOES NOT MATTER - the content is that of child porn and he/she should be dealt with by the full extent of the law !!! |

| Even if anyone said it was ok to photograph a naked 12 yr old, where is the art? Art is about expression and interpretation and I cant see how taken photos of a naked 12 yr old fits either category. And even if society accepted it where does it end? There was controversry last week over a naked 15 yrld in a photo shoot plus teen queen Miley Cyrus doing the same thing (shes 15). This weeks its 12. What levels do we sink to from here? |
