Racist attacks are no good but I heard that Queensland is very bad for that type of behaviour.

If that happens most residents of South West Sydney will be gone. All we are hearing is stories about mortgage stress, the price of petrol, food, rent and living in general. If us locals are feeling it I have no doubt students from overseas are feeling it too. I guess for some their opinion is not as valid as ours?

<<if they think this country is too expensive to live in they should go home>>

<<Yep. Anyone who complains about the cost of living in this country should leave..........>>
--------
Where should the locals move to then? - complaints of the cost of living is also in the domain of the citizens of Australia. Since when is it wrong for anyone to express an opinion in this country!

<<if they think this country is too expensive to live in they should go home>>

On that note, it would be wise to do a bit of research regarding the cost of living etc BEFORE moving to a new country.

I have travelled to many places in the world and my general feeling is that most places are ok to live in provided you have the disposable income to enjoy what's on offer. Being poor, homeless or disadvantaged is no fun no-matter what country you live in.

The 40% of kids not speaking English mark a new generation of aussies who as with all kids will pick up English in a flash. How else were they supposed to learn? you complain of no intergration and yet whine when immigrants send their kids to kindy to learn English?
_________________________ _________________________ _____

Most them were born here, their parents should've taught them to speak English by age 5.
Some say it's child abuse.

Yep maree and so was mine - partially anyway :)
Why anyone would wish the country to forgo $13 billion in export earnings evades me. Taxes would rise etc.
We complain about getting a taxi now - what hope would we have if there are no drivers after 5pm? And let us not forget we would have to plan ahead because the convenience stores would all have to close early too.
Ah then our true whinging heritage would come to the surface LOL.

So how do you teach them English when it's not your own first language? sending them to kindy and exposing them to the language will have 5 year olds speaking the language fluently inside twelve months. The only abuse here is that of a repugnant racist who is determined to dredge up race hate and bigotry at the expense of a few children.

<<Watch TT tonight at 6.30 if you dare, and see 'me' being ripped off and discriminated against because of my skin colour and race.

If you're game enough.>>

Oh rebel you are asking me to torture myself. Can you guarantee me that there is not a segment on hospital bedpans -- or the latest wonderbra. The latter seems to grab the program producer's attention with ridiculous regularity. But then I am a bloke and cannot see the point.

the cost of living has increased in this country (interest hikes, fuel increase, cost of food)

it will come down to can the migrants who come here to live can actually afford to live here.
if they can't they have the choice to go home

its not about racism, its about money

Whats wrong with their own universities?

Why come to ours?
------------------------- ------
r u thick or something obviously australian universitys are better thus why they come over there, im a domestic uni student and to be honest without forign students either the unis would be worse off or australian students would have to pay more in fees.
