Hi rossue, skype is much more stable for using a webcam. Clarity is much better as well for both audio and video.

Hi kaza..

My computer tells me Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4cpu 1.80GHz

Speed is 1803 MHz... do u think not enough??.

Skype is working, sometimes its quite good, other times its very rough with loss of sound.
It's dropped out a couple of times. Once the whole computer shut down & restarted.

Anyhow, I'll try to boost GHz.

Thanks

Re:web cam.. Reply to this message
you should consider your internet connection as well, like:

1) If you using wired, the server may be busy. So may have some lag and sometimes lost connection. Obviously it depends on how busy the server is.
2) If you using wireless, check the signal strength. Outside environment could interfere with the signal as well as the server maybe be busy as well if you have a good signal.

I don't think your speed of the computer will any changes that effect the communications over the net. Except for the computer that actually handles the actual program to run from your computer (like any other software - i.e. Minimum system requirements)

Re:web cam.. Reply to this message
Nope. Skype is just like Yahoo or MSN Messenger. As long your webcam are detected on Windows and the proper driver have been install, Skype will work with webcam.

Re:web cam.. Reply to this message
If Skype drops out, then it's your internet connection. Minimum connection for Skype is 32kb. If you are using webcam, at least a 64kb are needed but the higher the speed, the better. Also, it depends on the other party internet connection speed too.

Hi said_said1234567,
Are you serious?
Are you willing to accept my proposal?
