| Unfortunately I left home this morning without my Optu$ mobile internet dongle (actually Exetel) & have had to struffle by with a pox-ridden Vodafone (PlanetISP) connection. What a HOS !!! Gotta re-boot the lappy at least once every 30 mins & at best I get a 'very poor' 3G connection that works about the same speed as a blind drunk legless turtle |

| I guess it depends on where you're using it. I'm by no means in a big city and I get pretty fast connection using my 3G vodafone mobile phone as a modem for my laptop. |

I'm in Brisbane & never once had a decent connection wusing the Vodafone mobile network. Optu$ wasn't anything to write home about either (constant dropouts albeit decent speed while it was connected). Switched to Exetel & it works just fine, unless of course I forget to bring the E169 dongle. |

I use PlanetISP (Vodafone reseller) for GSM as they are by far the most cost effective for me & all 6 staff are Australian born and speak the Australian dialect as their first and only language. Tried their mobile internet but its unusable in the places I need it to work, so now using Exetel (Optu$ network but far more reliable) Vodafone is IMPOSSIBLE to deal with, that moronic LARA doesn't understand a word unless its got four letters, at which she hangs up immediately. |

Switch to PlanetISP, works even if your phone is locked to Vodafone. They speak Australian, don't charge monthly fee or flagfall & 33c per minute is cheaper than any other offering I can find. |
