Ps3 got standard wireless connection and blue ray. all for 699 not bad and its free to play on line
360 will cost you extra 250 for the HD player well HD is dead now no point and 150 for the wireless

But one most important thing PS3 doesn’t get 3 red lights every 6 months im personally on my 3rd Xbox and my PS3 is going strong.
It only looks that Xbox is batter value but its not, but unless you own PS3 and 360 you will never know |

But the fact is PS3 is batter value get HD player and wireless for you x box and see what it will cost you.
plus ad Gold member ship to if you want to play on line $80 its free on PS3
Do what most serious gamers do go and buy PS3 and wii to because they are all unique.
O and I got my PS3 for $750 with two controllers and 2 games all new, look for specials.
I got PS3 and 360 and im not placing my judgment on preference of the brand but facts of every day user 360 is good but PS3 is batter |

| Back in Jan 2002 I bought a Playstation 2 for $513. Last wet season a lightning strike took it out. Until then it never missed a beat, worked perfectly. When I claimed insurance on it I had to take the new version, only worth a couple of hundred bucks. I much prefer the old big one. When the new PS3 drops down in price further I will get one. One of my sons has an X Box and likes it, but I wouldn't go past the Sony. |

Well all HD DVD are cheap now reason is there is no new movies being put on HD it all blue rays now because they got exclusivity with most movie studios
So my Xbox is just a standard DVD player but im still going to keep it as my PS3 is also Blue ray
A 12 months gold member ship is $79 it’s still free for PS3
Reason why most people go now wireless is because it’s much easier and less cables beside it’s a 2008 and not early 80s
Xbox is good and cheap and they have to be because they need to compete with Sony
Xbox and ps3 are still being sold well below they production cost they make money back on all games sold.
Only shallow and brand driven people will say that Xbox is so much batter or that ps3 is best.they equal in performance
Ps and Xbox are fun to have but ps3 at this time is still batter value just based on fact what you get for your money blue ray, wireless, no members ship fees,
Buying a PS3 is still cheaper then buying a separate blue ray player.
there is no point in buying a HD DVD player any more |

Wow so now be base the value of the system on how many games we have to choose from not on what you get for you money, quality not quantity that important.
I did buy GTA4 for PS3 and Xbox and they look 95% same, you can force the game to play at 1080p on ps any way.
A good pc will always be batter then any video console but I hade to spend 5000+ to get some thing decent

I don't know where you pulled this nugget from. I've been playing GTA IV on PS3 for the past couple of weeks at 720p upscaled to 1080p. The game looks and sounds brilliant.
PS3 kicks ass! I love the ease of using playstation network, completely free, and damn easy to get online.
And the reason Xbox has more games is simply because it has been out longer. Not sure why this dude harbours such a grudge towards the PS3... I've been loving mine ever since I got it. |

Central Processing Unit
takes a new approach to hardware compared to its predecessor. The CPU, named Xenon at Microsoft and "Waternoose" at IBM, is a custom triple-core PowerPC-based design by IBM. The CPU emphasizes high floating point performance through multiple FPU and SIMD vector processing units in each core. It has a theoretical peak performance of 115.2 gigaflops and is capable of 9.6 billion dot products per second. Each core of the CPU is simultaneous multithreading capable at 3.2 gigahertz. However, to reduce CPU die size, complexity, cost, and power demands, the processor uses in-order execution in contrast to the Intel Coppermine128-based Pentium III used in Xbox which used more advanced out-of-order execution. The original chip uses a 90 nanometer process, although a newer 65 nanometer process SOI revision is currently in the market. A 21.6 GB/s front side bus, aggregated 10.8 GB/s upstream and downstream, connects Xenon with the graphics processor/northbridge. Xenon is equipped with a 1 MB Level 2 cache on-die running at half CPU speed. This cache is shared amongst the three CPU cores. The CPU also contains ROM storing Microsoft private encrypted keys, used to decrypt game data. The heat sink implemented to cool the CPU is composed of aluminum fins with copper base heat pipes. The heat sink is cooled by two 60 millimeter fans at the back of the console. There are several types of fan used in the 360 from manufacturers Nidec, Sunon and Delta Electronics. Nidec are considered quietest. |

Graphics Processing Unit
a chip designed by ATI called Xenos. The chip was developed under the name "C1" and "R500" was often used to refer to it. The GPU package contains two separate silicon dies, each on a 90 nm chip with a speed of 500 MHz the GPU proper, manufactured by TSMC and a 10 MB eDRAM daughter-die, manufactured by NEC. Thanks to the daughter die, the Xenos can do 4x FSAA, z-buffering, and alpha blending with no appreciable performance penalty on the GPU. The GPU also houses additional capabilities typically separated into a motherboard chipset in PC systems, effectively replacing the northbridge chip. An aluminum heat sink was implemented to cool the GPU in systems manufactured prior to the second half of 2007 after this time, the GPU heatsink was revised in order to better move heat away from the GPU die. The new heatsink is made from a different material and is connected to a new secondary heatsink (located in front of the CPU heatsink, to the right of the DVD drive) via a copper heatpipe. |

ppl amaze me with comparisons like this,
Its like comparing a Merc with a Beemer,
just because one does one thing or another better does not make the other c r a ppy .
so many other far more important factors like Gameplay,
Feel, Game choice and preference, future or current potential and did I mention GAMEPLAY.
To me I never could fit my hands on the tiny Sony controllers, always seem to lack a progressive feel and action and they have no games like Halo, or my taste in driving sims,
But the PS3 is an awesome bit of Technology,and before long will have hundreds of top games to take advantage it. (Funny-same was said bout original xbox upon release.)
Xbox is my true love and the 360 was a bit dissappointing at first, but the PS3 is million times better than their last effort (Now worth about $20).
but buy the one that suits U best.
Better still, wait few more monthgs and PS3 will be under $400 anyway. |
