as i said this has only just started[the last 2 days anyway] when i go to refresh a page,[after it has been left open for a while] i get a message from IE saying "cant open webpage, operation aborted" but it does open the page no probs but it happens each time i go to refresh an open webpage,
could it be that the page has been open too long, should i close the page right down & open it again when i next want to view it, as i said not a big prob
no, no new software installed all updates updated[lol]
any advise greatly appreciated,
think it might be an idea to close the page then come back again to have a look anyway,

Kaza, stop using IE and go to Mozilla Firefox, its much quicker and more reliable than IE.

i like IE i'm used to IE,
i have been using IE7 since it came out with no probs,
why change coz of one blip ?
i just need an idea of why this has just started to happen, or a point in the dirrection of a patch or fixit,
thankyou for your suggestion anyway
any other advise ?,,,,,,,,please

..................... would agree here kaza Firefox is better and it simple to use just like IE7, but if you really wANT IE7 go do Microsoft updates to see if any updates for IE7!!!!! |

Hi Jean - I have to agree with the other posters. You'll find firefox twice as quick & a damn sight more stable. You don't need to uninstall IE. If you find you don't like it you can just change back. Bet you don't, though. ;)

HI Gibbot, Yes I have been using Firefox now for about three years and find it just so much better than IE and touch wood not a single virus to date. But everyone has their preferences.
I love this message board business, have never bothered with them before but I think I could get hooked..lol

Yep, I'm another "Mozzy" lover! Although I have found that IE7 is slightly better than its predecessors. But I use Mozilla far more, it's so much quicker, less prone to bugs, rarely have the cannot display website etc.

thats just the thing
it says "IE connot display this webpage, operation aborted"
but it does display the webpage in full with only the warning that it cant do what its doing [lol]
maybe[chilli,my pc] is developing a sense of humour[just joking][lol]
