Hi all
I need to upgrade my anti-virus protection. Right now it just isn't doing the job.
I would prefer to download a free program, but I am willing to pay for something if it is good enough.
Any ideas? |

| the free avg programme offers basic protection...you only have to look at what the premium avg programme offers in comparison but it costs $80...try NOD32, Kapersky or Panda and all offer free 30day trial periods so you can see which suits you the best... |

make sure u do "set parameters later",on install, then run patch, then reboot.
run,msconfig, selective startup,disable all but nod32
reboot.
run ccleaner every week or so. |

AVG is great but will not pick up some of the more tenacious adware and spyware that is about.
I downloaded super antispyware free edition.
It is an exceptional program gets all ad and spy ware not just the easy ones. |

Don't skimp on your computer security, as if someone hacks into your system and performs identity theft, it will cost you more a than the a few dollars of the anti-virus etc software you didn't pay for. |

can we agree to disagree? :-)
nothing is slow on my system, all good with PC Spyware Doctor.
But computers are like people. Everyone is different, and so are these damn machines. I haven't had any issues with PC Spyware Doctor and has always removed any nasties first time around. |

If you want to check your security system try this site. it will tell you if anyone can hack into your computer if you got a virus etc.

best free antivirus for me is "avast home edition" if downloading and it contains a virus it will stop it before you download it to computer!!! just do a google search!!!!!
spyware : spybot does me!!!!! google that too!!!! |
