Nadal Malik Hasan a hero? Reply to this message
They'll be out in force over the next few days, the Labor/green/anarchist/pac ifist mob, and by the time they're finished he will have been turned into a hero. A Hero of the New World Order standing up to the US neocon agressors. Carve his name with pride.
Woody has already donned a burqua and is preparing to leave for the Yemen.
Barack Hussein Obama has cautioned against rushing to conclusions about his motivation. Hasan's that is, not Woody's.
But we all know he cautions against rushing to conclusions about anything. Now he will have another factor to worry about in his long drawn-out thoughtfest about Afghanistan: whether there are more Hasans to worry about amongst his troops.
But what is there not to conclude? Hasan is yet another victim of brainwashing by a barbaric medieval religion.
Let's just hope our own military has been more careful about who they have recruited into their ranks.

Terrible, isn't it? Conclusions should be rushed at head on, not considered from all angles.

Oh... and for the simpletons who need it stated explicitly as part of a chorus: Nadal Malik Hasan ain't a hero. He is obviously quite fked in the head.

sure the extremist militant muslims like Al Quaeda and the Taliban may consider him a "hero" - but lefties like me most certainly wouldn't.

The man is obviously a nutcase. Assuming anyone who isnt on the far-right of the spectrum (like bogarde seems to be) must somehow support mass murder of this nature is just cheap. But the right are cheap, everyone knows that.

Hardly a hero and hardly psychotic. Obviously he saw no reason to self diagnose.

There's only 1 conclusion.

His family say he is a devout muslim but not an extremist.
How many notches do you have to have on your gun to be an extremist?

bettestreep is distancing from him, as is rekshun, but the subtle changes will come, they've come already. He's just a nutcase, no other muslims pose a threat . .till the next time.

WASHINGTON — His name appears on radical Internet postings. A fellow officer says he fought his deployment to Iraq and argued with soldiers who supported U.S. wars. . .
At least six months ago, Hasan came to the attention of law enforcement officials because of Internet postings about suicide bombings and other threats, including posts that equated suicide bombers to soldiers who throw themselves on a grenade to save the lives of their comrades.

Yes, but he could have shoot the other soldiers because of his poor preformance review, o because his girlfriend left him or even because he missed the last episode of Heroes...

It really doesn't take much to push some people over the edge...

"A disgruntled ex-worker shot dead one person and wounded five others in an office building in Florida on Friday before shouting "they left me to rot" as he was hauled into custody, police said."

I don't think they really assume any such thing, veg - it's classic demagogy and straw man tactics. It's been honed to a fine art around here.

The local demagogues have made an art out of building straw men

The only hero in this unfortunatate event, was the female copper who minutes before was directing traffic, answered the call over the radio and came across the wacko soon after.
Despite being wounded herself, she pumped four bullets into him in a frantic shoot out.
One gutsy girl.

Re:Nadal Malik Hasan a hero? Reply to this message
Unfortunately this is what we are up against

Muslim radicals call Hasan
'Officer and a Gentleman'

A website run by radical Muslims today honored Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the man accused of killing 13 people at Ford Hood in Texas, as an "Officer and a Gentleman," saying his actions should not be denounced.

The attack, which also left more than two dozen injured, was called a "pre-emptive attack," by supporters of the Revolution Muslim website.

Fort Hood shooter described war on terror as "war on Islam" + VIDEO of Nidal Malik Hasan's last days

(KDHnews) Bell County SWAT teams barricaded and evacuated a downtown Killeen apartment complex where Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan lived before authorities say he killed 13 people and injured 30 more during a massacre at Fort Hood Thursday.

...In the morning, neighbors said Hasan handed Qurans and donated his furniture to anyone who would take it.

Neighbors described Hasan as a quiet man who began wearing "Arabic clothing" in recent weeks. Edward Windsor, a neighbor, never suspected Hasan was in the Army. Hasan's rank surprised Windsor who would never have imagined an officer with a rank of major would have lived in an apartment that rents for $350 and houses soldiers ranked as private first class.

As Jawa Notes:

So he'd been wearing the white clothing of a Shaheed (martyr) for several weeks. Giving away his furniture. I guess the question now, given the history that is becoming apparent, how was this allowed to happen?

Peter P. Vitaliano is a professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences, psychology and health services at the University of Washington, Seattle.

Given the horrific events that took place on Thursday at Fort Hood, many are asking why and how this could have happened and if it could have been prevented.

There is no question that there is extensive research to suggest that full time caregivers, whether they are paid or not paid, are at risk for problems of their own.

Of course, many caregivers do not have problems and others do seek help.
It's important to understand that individuals who perform services for others, whether they are physicians, airline pilots, or unpaid family caregivers, all bring their own vulnerabilities to their work and these interact with their environments to influence their thoughts, emotions and behaviors.

We don't yet know all the facts about the Fort Hood gunman or his motives.
News reports have indicated that he told relatives that other soldiers harassed.
Many organizations that employ mental health workers have venues for them to express their feelings and to receive feedback.
It is unclear if Dr. Hasan had ever articulated his beliefs to colleagues who could have helped him.

"We don't yet know all the facts about the Fort Hood gunman or his motives."

Here we go again! The liberal left social progressives come up against something that proves their views are nuts and they say: " wait until we have all the facts". How many facts do you need?

Or are you just playing for time to muddy the waters and replace facts with fabrications?
