Quiet night here that's for sure!!!
Quite a convivial show......
The most interesting takeaway for me, was Richardson's advice to Rudd, not to push it on Climate change!!
He seemed to be suggesting Rudd should have patience and realise that Australia wasnot quite ready......
They all seemed tobe throwing bon mots at Rudd....

LABOR backbencher Maxine McKew doesn't believe a hit in the polls is the result of the Government's controversial handling of the asylum seeker debate.
She thinks the latest Newspoll, which recorded a seven percentage point swing against the Rudd government on Tuesday, might just be an anomaly.
"It's an odd poll," she said.
"Yes, there has been a large swing in the primary vote to the Liberals ... but almost no shift in the prime minister's personal approval rating.
"That's quite odd if this is all about what the prime minister has been saying about tough and humane (border protection policy)."
She's awaiting the next Newspoll out next fortnight.

I want to know why being "articulate" is something to be ashamed of.
3 or 4 times Hockey tried to shut Marr up with the term "Articulate Left"said as a put down.
I thought understanding & being able to use words was a plus,bleeding heart, latte sipping lefty that I am. |

Joe was also very funny. Especially when suggesting Richo was going to replace Rudd as soon as the PM runs out of friends.
McKew was an embarrassing waste of space, simply blurting out her thoughts as though they had been prepared by some amateur speechwriter.
And don't forget Jones. Again constlantly interrupting the outnumbered conservatives but letting his mates ramble on -especially McKew and Marr (also embarrassingly bad - as usual.) |

You mean the bit where Hockey said he never lied challenged Jones to test him & when asked if he wanted to be leader sat there with a silly grin & said nothing,I supposed by saying nothing technicly he didn't lie.

Hockey also didn't give a clear , or any answer ,on their stance on the asylum seekers situation and policies . THAT was the biggest let down..
But He and Marr giving each other 'evils'...
show me Hockeys isnt the so called 'nice guy '. there is a mean streak ( or strek) in there waiting to come out.... |

Predictable,pathetic response unless of course you work with Rudd Simon,if not you are going on hearsay of someone without the guts to have his/her name attributed to his/her comments.
Other than that perhaps you can "man up" & admit the loss of demeanor on national television upon being asked a question from a member of the public is not a good look for the future leader of the party. |
