Yep another boat has just been intercepted off the coast of Darwin with 16 people on board. He he he I tell you what Aussies can handle most things that go on in this world but when it comes to this they go crazy and vote with their feet.
Can things get any better this week I tell you I am just having the best time reading all the heart felt out pouring of a very bad poll result this week.
How will you lot ever get through the rest of the week and now .....blow me down here comes yet another boat load. |

Not something of which to be proud! The rest of the world is taking note of our rampant xenophobia! Australia can easily handle the numbers of asylum seekers coming our way. The skilled immigrant intake is hundreds of times larger! While the Liberal Party plays politics with asylum seekers lives we'll always have a problem with this! It's something to be ashamed of! |

| But the fact that these boats keep coming, bringing more and more people each time, what happens to all the refugee loving posters when half of sri lanka and the best part of these other countries that keep coming get here, you going to say enough then. |

Rudd urges Jakarta to honour deal to process Oceanic Viking asylum-seekers
Samantha Maiden, Online Political Editor | November 05, 2009
Article from: The Australian
KEVIN Rudd has bluntly told Indonesia it must honour an agreement to process asylum-seekers on the Oceanic Viking but refused to rule out sending them to Christmas Island if the standoff continues.
It follows a warning from Indonesia that it may enforce a deadline to resolve the standoff this week.
The asylum-seekers have now spent 19 days at sea since they were rescued by the Australian Navy following a distress call.
While the 78 asylum-seekers were picked up by Australia in Indonesia's search and rescue area following a request from Indonesia they are refusing to disembark and Indonesia has effectively argued while they remain on an Australian vessel they are Australia's problem.
In a pointed message to Indonesia, Mr Rudd said today the Indonesia Foreign Minister had once said they had patience on this matter and ``so do we''.
The Prime Minister was repeatedly asked this morning if there were any circumstances under which Australia would give up and simply process them on Christmas Island.
He did not answer the question, instead arguing ``the challenge here is to work our way calmly and methodically through each individual case''. |

| Codswal I take very little notice of some of these peoples opinions. You will find 99.9% of the time they always take the easy way out and yet offer up no other alternative solution. |

He did not answer the question, instead arguing ``the challenge here is to work our way calmly and methodically through each individual case''.
Earlier, Indonesia warned its patience was running out.
``There is a limit,'' Indonesian Foreign Ministry spokesman Teuku Faizasyah said yesterday. ``On that particular issue it really depends very much on the progress Australia can make. You must resolve your problems on board the vessel.
``November 6 is our expectation for this to be resolved.''
------------------------- ---------------------
Looks like Indonesia are not going to put up with Glorious Leaders spin and lies, once Indo tells Rudd to get farked on Nov 6 and he caves in and transports the illegals to Xmas island watch the flood gates open then, grow some balls Rudd and forcibly remove the illegals from our ship or take them back to Sri Lanks |

bris they could at least offer bed and breakfast..lol.. just kidding..
the point of all this is... Indonesia is not to be trusted... we do not pick up anymorein their waters..simple really..they have enough ricketty boats to sail to Oz.. they surely have enough to make a rescue..the way I see it.. they click their fingers and we come to the party.. all to SAVE FACE,someone on here even suggested the world see us as Xenophobic.. its laughable but they believe it.. and so does Kev by the look of things... who bloody cares what the world thinks anyway.. they should be more worried about why these people are leaving their own countries in droves and DO something about it.. I have visions of vast nations either almost empty.. or over run with drug lords..is that what we want |

FIVE teenage Afghan boys and a Kurdish couple with three children are the latest asylum-seekers on Christmas Island to be brought to the mainland before receiving visas.
The five Afghan boys were last night flown off the island on a charter plane along with the Kurdish family and 33 men who had been granted protection visas earlier in the day.
Their departure, and the transfer of four Indonesian crew to detention in Darwin, leaves 1134 people in immigration detention on Christmas Island, including 11 crew.
The decision to move the Kurdish family to Brisbane for the final stages of processing is not unprecedented; the father is unwell and needs specialist care. |

So what you are saying Cods if I understand you..is that if you speak against boat people and smugglers you are a member of the Hate and Bile brigade...is that right?
Well actually Cods I guess I must be a card carrying member then....
Because I have HUGE problems with letting these people into Australia
1 They have NO papers and could be ANYONE
2 They have usually come through a number of countries where safe haven was attainable but haven't stopped so they ARE NOT real refugees
3 They are given access to services and welfare that others are NOT
4 They have paid People smugglers sometimes 10's of 1000s of dollars to get here. Money that is NOT attainable to the average person in their country of origin...where did they get that money? Was it LEGALLY attained?
So YES Cods I stand as a proud member of your so called Hate and Bile Brigade because it appears I have no choice....I'm either that or someone like you ...an IGNORANT UNTHINKING BLEEDING HEART! |

i hope the specialist care is not to expensive.
you see when you come through normal channels you have to sort out illness before you are allowed in, or have the money to pay for the care,
charterd flights emergency accommodation.
take a walk through the valley and see the young aussie homeless |

| When ever one of these boats arrives, it seems to give the Libs great joy! It's great to see them happy again after getting their backsides so soundly kicked by Kevvy, and his team! The Libs've been so sad after their fake email debacle, I was beginning to worry about them. I was going to put the Beyond Blue phone number up on this forum for them! |
