Logbook of the Captain Day 413
Asked the passengers if they would like to go to Tahiti, told them it looked good this time of year.
Replied, after consulting advisers on several international mobile calls, that no, they were coming to Australia.
Told them that our PM had stamped his foot and would not let them in and that if they would not go to Tahiti or Fiji or one of the other tourist spots, then they would be taken back to Sri Lanka.
Replied that they would kill themselves first, then hold a hunger strike and then burn the boat.
Negotiations continue . . . |

Captain's Logbook Day 768
Lost 3 Tamils to old age.
Told the others I'd been instructed to offer them money if they would exit the ship at Indonesia.
They said it wasn't enough. I said I hadn't told them how much yet, then I told them how much.
They said it wasn't enough.
They said when I came up with the right amount they would give me the numbers of Swiss bank accounts to pay it into . . .and then they would come to Australia.

The local area commander, Colonel Yukidinanchu, has presented a bill to the ship, as follows:

Migration fees...............100,00 0
Berthing charges............. 25,000
Mutual Understanding &
Benefits Contribution....... 50,000
Departure tax................100,00 0
I queried the departure tax, saying we hadn't left yet, but he just smiled.
Funny though, we tried to raise the anchor this morning but it seems to be stuck.
The money is to be left with the receptionist at the Colonel's escort business, wrapped in brown paper.
Have recommended to Canberra they get us out of here . .quick |

19 day cruise all food drinks,guest spots on daily news,your pics all over papers tv screens from timbuck too,,, and the usa.
this includes a 90 day stop over on the lovely xmas isle air con units.mini golf ,tennis courts,foxtel movies,3 swimming pools.the rare ruddy bird habitat,the march of the red crabs.
crusies maybe extended due to incompitence in federal goverment.

Why would Indo give a rats R's about Australia.
These people have been living in Indo for up to five years with another 10,000 ready to jump on more boats.From Indo's point of view they would think they have played their part and now it's Australia's turn to play.
Personally I wouldn't give Indo a red cent until they started acting in a manner that discouraged it. What was Rudd's big plan send Indo 50 Million dollars of our money. Yer good one Ruddy make sure you make a big headline and 50 Miliion dollars will do that and then it looks like you hav eit all under control. Lol wouldn't know if his R's was on fire that flipper. |
