"Warning: Energy Kites Ahead" might read the electronic transmissions to pilots... that is if some of the wind energy producers have their way. They're putting their "kites" at 30,000 feet or so to harness more wind energy. What could that mean for you? Oh, just reducing your energy bills from 11 cents per kilowatt hour to 2 to 4 cents per kilowatt hour. Did they just win your support?

We hear about alternative energy sources being more expensive to produce and, therefore, more expensive to the consumer, but there's considerable information coming out that suggests ways for so-called alternative energies to become mainstream energies. For example, the idea that instead of er.recting wind turbines at crow-flight level, we send kite turbines up 30,000 feet to airplane-flight level, where the jet streams flow 10 times faster than winds on the ground.

In fact, at 32,000 feet above ground, winds have the highest wind power density, perfect for harnessing and sending down to energy grids. That information was published last month in the journal Energies, by Stanford University professors and climate scientists, Cristina Archer and Ken Caldeira. They created the first global survey of high altitude wind energy based on 27 years of data they compiled from the National Center for Environmental Prediction and the Eurpean Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts.

Well if your game enough, look what happen to the tower of babel, fair enough, it was only the workers that copped it and the management got off Scott free, but can you imagine having to watch reality shows while they are all doing sign language. especially ordering a schooner, you would be banned before you had a drink.

as the earth spins on its axis....the tower will lose its effectiveness

so we should build 4 towers that reaches beyond the planet Mercury so we can have solar energy 24/7

once we build the tower....we get green to maintain it everyday

he can climb up this tower that reaches beyond the planet Mercury and clean the solar panels

++++++++++

Well they do, but they are pretty maneuverable and their location would of course be advised in NOTAMS.

At 32,000feet these units will have to operate in temperatures of -45 degrees C. Yoiu are having another hand induced mental orgasm Millie.
Your hero will be in Melbourne this month to address 1000 invited guests. He as usual lacks the credibility to speak in any open forum.
Your climate change has been dealt a death blow with a report from 4 independent scientists which prove beyond all doubt that the climate scam is nothing more than a green scare mongering tactic.THe computer modelling an which your case was based are flawed and have no empirical evidence that can be produced to back up the claims of the Green Environmentalists.

A lot of people seem to make the mistake of watching an episode of catalyst or the new inventors, and then deciding they can solve the worlds problems as well as getting 4 job contacts for centrelink in the same fortnight.

There's a bit more to it than that, but I dont really want to burst any bubbles this early in the night.

it will take people thinking outside the square to solve our challenges ... either get with the program, or be a wet blanket.

What about daylight ?? Where does that energy come from and who pays for it ?? What a pity you can't charge the punters for that ;)

And we could always give Holden 180 million to produce a "Green" car by importing a dirty fossil fool car from Korea :( How fanciful is Holden's green car ?? Don't hear you complaining about that though ;)

You post your ramblings as being fact. You have nothing to offer. I have never seen yo present any scientific data or engineering data to back up your claimed proven facts.

I mean lets face it your not exactly interested in challenging any other science except this one. Why's that ??

It wouldn't have anything to do with money by any chance ??

I get frustrated at the lack of intelligence here occasionally, and this is one such occasion.

Buy a solar panel, costs about $150. You'll need a battery to store the energy, say another $150. Unless you use 12 volt, you'll need an inverter (depends how much current) starting about $150. This hypothesis is based on just running the computer you're staring at now...

Theres $450 straight away. But you can say it is free energy from the sun, just like the experts do on catalyst.

People have fought over a person's colour of skin, genitalia, religion, sexual persuasions, basically anything and everything ... this time we are fighting over the right for humanity to existed.

The choice is stark ... we can carry on for the next half a dozen years, happy in the knowledge that the majority of humans on this planet are without the basics rights every human should be guaranteed. This is not caused by some external force of nature, no pie in the sky angry deity, it is caused by a belief that we are superior to them ... that my rights are greater than yours or vice versa.

Well the campaigns of the past for women, for children, for people of colour, for religious freedom or the current gay equality pales compared with the campaign for humanities right to exist beyond a handful of decades.

Coal is turning our oceans acid ... coal is polluting our lungs, food, land with it's toxins ... coal is increasing the speed of the collapse of of survivable climate.

Coal is convenience for Australia ... easy money from exports, subsidised electricity.

Yet the time is coming to pay the piper ... pay those subsides either with the extinction, or the evolution of humanity.

You may be frustrated pathogan ... something I am not because I know Australians with not fail me by following the propaganda, greed or small thinking of the coal lobby.

Renewable Energy = Sustainability

Sustainability = Humanities Survival and Evolution.

Re:Green Electricity: 2 Cents A Kilowatt ... Reply to this message
isn't this green electricity a bit of a con. Surely all power supply is connected to the grid and we all tap into that grid for our power supply so I still ask how does your individual house power supply differentiate between gas/coal fired electricity and solar/wind power. Any answers.
