Mr Turnbull accused Mr Rudd and Treasurer Wayne Swan of misleading parliament.
"The case that Mr Rudd misled the house about the communication is not sustained," he said.
"There is no doubt about that."
Mr Turnbull defended his actions. He said the opposition acted "reasonably and responsibly" by basing its accusations on evidence that Treasury official, Godwin Grech, gave to a Senate inquiry last Friday.
......................... .........
so the email grech had on his computer was a fake so we can say anything he told in the senate inquiry was false as well!!!
poor turnbull got setup beautifully, that will teach him to do what he did to HIH!!!! |

<<< Well then why did Turnbull concede that without this email there was no case against Rudd
show me the transcript dna
in the mean time here is the EXACT trascript from Turnbull

I already posted this around 1pm which was the last time you asked the same question, and as you can see the Turnbull answer developed over time. If you read his reseases sequentially you can see how his story developed from the original email to its a fake and obviously Rudd is exonerated to weaseling out of his error by pushing for an enquiry and changing his focus - during the 22nd and 23rd June his story changed throughout the day, this is clearly shown within the transcripts on his own media page.

This is a more up to date quote from Turnbull on his own web site.
MALCOLM TURNBULL:
"Well there is no question that...Look, the case that Mr Rudd misled the House about the communication is not sustained".
Turnbull said this (22/6) well after your quote (19/6) - this was at the time that he realised that he was wrong.

| And all this came out of the Prime Ministers Office. I wonder if the AFP checked his deleted files on the Office Computer system. |

I would think that if the opposition leader is going to demand the resignation of the PM it is reasonable to assume that he has access to the evidence, Later Turnbull admitted that their was no evidence to suggest that the PM had lied to parliament.
====
read my post at 12.32pm dna...these are your accusations
you said if Turnbull was going to demand resignation then he need to have reasonable evidence
evidence submitted to the Senate under OATH is pretty good
you want better quality evidence than ones submitted under oath?
so Turnbull said...IF you can't explain these evidence that has been given under oath then resign

====
Grech worked in Treasury...controlled by Swan
So if anyone in Treasury does something to benefit the ALP then Swan should be congratulated
But if someone in Treasury does something that does not benefit Treasury then Swan has nothing to do with it and they are working for the LIBs??

I know your comprehension is not that poor so what are you talking about, that interview contains a direct quote from Turnbull where he states that there is no case against Rudd for misleading parliament.

Today (12:58 pm)
Re:What really happened. (PREVIEW)
The wording of the email sent from the PM's office was known but they were aware that it was not sent from the PM's office.
====
how?
have they check every login and every email account?
I thought the AFP was supposed to do this!
so how would they know in such a short time that the email was a fake? <<
FFS, Macca!
You seem to be ignoring the fact that emails are sent by individuals within offices...
Any journo would have to be a feckin' idiot, if they publically reported the contents of such a politically crucial email purportedly sent from the PM's office, without sighting the name of the purported author/sender...
Where's the evidence that said sender was NOT identified by Steve Lewis to Lachlan Harris!?
Steve Lewis' article states: -
"Barely 20 minutes earlier, I had sent Harris details of an email The Courier-Mail was planning to publish the next day."
I note that he didn't say "some details"!
If one knows the name of the purported sender, then: -
* it's easy to ask that person, to establish their version of events...
* it also doesn't take long for the IT department to run a check on their email history... |
