Suppose, though, that we did take out some of the 'special factors' that people nominate. Let's, for the sake of argument, remove from the CPI rents and petrol, as well as the calculation of deposits and loan facilities. If we do that, the rate of inflation of the remaining items over the year to December 2007 is 2.1 per cent.

over the past few weeks I have visited this forum and without question you casino are without a doubt the most ignorant poster on here
you add nothing to the debate you do nothing but whinge and whine and abuse posters who quite obviously are far more intelligent than you
so if you must post on here do everyone a favour and at least have something intelligent and relevent to say |

The story is NOT from LIB therefore there's no agenda here other than to highlight facts
The story was written by the RBA which both sides of politics has agreed is impartial....even if you say the RBA pro-LIB I would disagree because it had increased rates during an election

Its NOT fighting INFLATION:
In comparison to the Liberal spending - fuelling inflation it is defiantly a move in the right direction. |

| I hope a lot othe people who post on here watched the Thursday evening 7-30 report. They interviewed a union leader and his statement was; "we are not going to let our members slip back any further and we will go for wage rises that bring them into line with what we deem they have lost, their standard of living has slipped and we aim to retify this from now on",. Now if that not mean a significant push for a substantial wage increase I don't know what does and I bet it will not be around 3-4%, now if this push succeeds, just watch all the others jump on the bandwagon. Payback time is drawing nigh. |

Ahh right I see you think that its unfair of folks other than yourselves to be asking for a payrise? I see it all now, you think that the high prized 'jockies' in management need all the rewards. |

That would be a really great idea except we live in a real world where petrol, interest etc are an unavoidable part of living. |

| Any budget that increases taxes and increases spending in real terms is NOT an inflation fighter! |

As demontrated over the last decade by Howard, hence the lowest home affordability in history today. |
