SILKEN-voiced Michael Buble is sick of being typecast as a "cheesy crooner", warning the next person that dares criticise him will end up with a fist in their face.
"I think Iâm a nice person but it'll only be a matter of time until someone tries to take away my dignity on film or on a radio station and I'll knock 'em out and then people won't think I'm the nicest guy in music anymore. I absolutely will knock 'em out. Itâs just a matter of time my dear, it's just a matter of time," he told news.com.au.
Buble unleashed an uncharacteristic expletive-laden rant when discussing the journalist who described his music as being "as cheesy as a quesadilla".
" *** them, what else can I say? Why doesnât that little b**** that wrote that try and write a song - which they wont be able to do and thatâs why theyâre sitting behind their little computer, eating their little chips and writing that hateful s*** - why donât they write their own song and see what they can come up with?"
Speaking to news.com.au in Sydney last week, Buble revealed the little-known "other side" to him - a tough bravado that derides from his upbringing as an ice-hockey player, giving him the fiery, take-no-bull attitude that he fears will one day be his downfalling.
"I'm a Canadian boy, a hockey player and I'll be nice to you, I'll kiss your bum until you *** on my face and once you do that, I will knock you out. I'm not that big, but I think I'm tasty enough," he said.
"It's something I don't want and it hasn't happened in seven years, but it's bound to happen at some point."
While the 34-year-old unquestionably agrees that not everyone has to like his music - "That's why there's 31 different flavours of ice cream" - The Haven't Met You Yet singer said this indignance emanated from the times he allowed people to "take away his dignity".

tash - I agree with you about the gorgeous Michael last night on Idol.
He was absolutely terrific - and oh so dropdead gorgeous - it just made the whole night for me.
as for omniboi - well you seem to know what a person on drugs looks like so tell us in more detail what Michael Buble did that confirmed this outstanding observation for you???
As for me - and thousands of others - we sat back and enjoyed not only a great looking guy but also a beautiful singer AND an absolutely wonderful gentleman!
If he chooses to become an Aussie in the near future - I am more than happy if they fast track his application!
