>>>And you're not even curious to find out?
What is to be gained by howling down any hypothesis on the cause?
I'm not saying you chose it.
I'm not saying you can help it.
I'm not saying you're a bad person for being who you are.
But in the same way as a colourblind person accepts they have a defect, so should you. I've said I've got defects, I've said theres no such thing as defect-free person. that includes you Andy. Believe it or not, I don't think you're inhuman.<<<
I don't think that you do think I'm inhuman kingy, and I know that I am far from perfect. Hell, I have had cancer, and I am epileptic so the chances of me being perfect are fairly out there :D
I'm happy for research, depending on who is carrying it out, who is funding it, what premise it starts from, and what end result they are looking for.
We all know that there is science and there is 'science'. We all know that there is that science that is paid for by interested parties getting the result that they paid for, and there is the science that is completed by disinterested parties that is not necessarily out to prove a particular thing.
For instance the tobacco companies come up with great 'science' proving that smoking is really very healthy for you, despite all the other science to the contrary. James Hardie Industries has lots of 'science' to prove that asbestos is not as bad as everybody thinks, despite all the rest of the science that proves otherwise.
Vested interests can always prove that black is white with enough money and the right 'science'. |

>>>And I too fear this, but not just about the 'gay gene', about every flaw no matter how big or small. But thats a seperate issue, and one for all humanity, not just gays.<<<
Glad we're on the same page about more than one thing :)
I'm going to have to head for bed. I wish you well, and good night. |

All theories start with a hypothesis, and it's only through testing them that the truth is found. I'm not going to test it, but it hasn't been disproven anyway. Besides, would it be so bad if it was true? Wouldn't it give thousands of confused people a reason why they feel the way they do? How about if I call it a genetic 'quirk' instead? |
