Tis an earache compared to the sweet symphony of a triple pedro.
Ya know God rode a Triumph,
says so in the bible-
'The lord rode down in Triumph!'
hehe |

Magnus,
have soft spot for BSA triple .
not much torque but some other stuff.
Lot of character, plus if you can ride the demon and keep it in the power band /sweet spot, quick by old standards.
But above all has some sexxxy quality .
best thing they done with 650 trumpy? |

I love the sound of the modern Daytonas and speed triples.
chunky Idle,
deep burble as they come on the pipe,
and a screaming top end.
phwoar gets me all worked up jus thinkin bout it! |

early Rocket 3 does it for me.
All sinful-sexxy.

Nice engine castings, shape was right. |

yes rocketIII started it, but when hinkley triumph started again they really finished off building a triple,
wish Yamaha would do it now(R8 triple please!?),
Not till I rode one I realised they not only perfectly balanced centrifically.
but also laterally accross the frame too.
One pot in the middle and one each side! |

5 titanium valve heads spinning to 13500, 160kg will do.
3pipes under the singe seat.
(yeah I'm Dreamin!, theres prolly some copyright law if they did build it.)
make a better MotoGP proposition tho. |

Magnus,
for 100% sure now we are in a golden age of design.
Engineers have their way to make very creative stuff.
design is very exotic.
Hyper radical stuff , i think is beyond the comprehension of most buyers.
I was asking on forum , on computeried eng management of Ducati-Cagiva management; Marelli system,on how to improve the ignition since primary spark is weak.
Every body gets bikes serviced!
For bike nuts it is a good time. |

magnus...
not quite correct..whilst very good in primary,,and secondry balance forces,,they do have a rocking couple..
the minumum number of cylinders to cancel out all forces,,is a straight six..the triple is half that number..add the other 3 cylinders,,and everything cancels out.. |

the only problem of a straight 6 motor,,is torsional forces in the crankshaft..not so pronounced on a 7 main bearing motor..definately a problem on the old 4 main holden grey motor..
mercedes got around the torsional problem,,on the straight 8 w196 grand prix motor of the fifties,,by taking power from the crank between cylinders 4 and 5 by a gear drive..then the motor was essentially two 4 cylinder units.. |
