>>>It was overwhelming for Western Australia's politicians to realise and acknowledge 28,000 viewers voted in which almost 21,000 people said YES and just fewer than 7,000 people said NO!! >>
Perhaps we that like DLS were too busy getting a life with the extra daylight to ring in and cast their vote!!?? |

It appears that axandpeter and carlossalgado67 advocate DLS.
So you are out using DLS being unable to vote and nobody is up at 4am (DLS or real time??) So you must be using the latter DLS until 9pm (sun set) before going home to attend those choirs then retiring to bed which undoubtedly offers a sleep in. Don’t see surviving an indefatigable life style from sunrise to sunset on a daily basis through out summer with late choirs.
We are up at 5am (DLS…4am real time) to make ready the journey being like most people who live outside the Perth metro area. How do we benefit from DLS? Maybe cooking in traffic and being able to see how long the line is! Encountering delays, road rage, frustrations as everyone is trying to race home to take advantage of DLS. Has nobody every heard of flexi time! |

| I think people are being inconsiderate. People who like DLS have the opportunity to enjoy it for 3 years, with the possibility of loosing it after that. Give us a break. Move with the times, Europe and other states have it why should we stay in the dark. |

Europe and other states have it why should we stay in the dark.
who cares what they do ? for a start europe does not have the heat that we do in the evening, i lived there for several years and there is no comparison. stuff dls, a referendum would again reject it, and i hope we get it at the end of this year so that these holier than thou pollies realise they need to LISTEN for once. also what is there to enjoy ? i can`t think of anything enjoyable in cooking for an extra hour. stuff your daylight saving. |

| I was a person who wanted DLS at the start of the trial. 8 Weeks in and I will be voting no more DLS. I see no advantages in it. I would prefer some time in the cool of the morning and then some time in the afternoon (as it use to be). Why should we have all the leisure time in the afternoon. I dont like it, it disrupts my families life and I will vote NO. Bring on an early vote so we dont have to put up with this next year!!! |

| The best thing about DLS is its still dark in the morning and you get a really good sleep in. No bright light at 5.00am. But as the kids go back to school tomorrow even that reason for DLS is now lost. DLS - DAMN LABOUR SUX |

2.30pm to 3.30pm reg time - 1.30pm to 2.30pm DLS time
none
to my knowledge it stays the same unless a cool change hits,

A phone poll is only representative of the people that call in 50 times.
This draw the curtains thing is a tad odd. It is as hot as hell, how do you imagine the fresh air will get in? And it is hotter in the middle of the day and gradually cooling, that is why children in queensland have to wear hats to play. That is why we are told to stay out of the sun between 1.30 - 2.30 standard time by the cancer foundation. |

Stay in the shade whenever you can, particularly in the middle of the day
10am to 2pm or 11am to 3pm during daylight savings.
http://www.cancercouncil.com.au/editorial.asp?page id=2052
But this isn't always possible, but a good guide to try and stick to as far as staying out of the direct sun
still doesn't say the temp changes or starts to cool down |

to natty girl.
it is the people who want dls that are the inconsiderate one ,
they want everyone to change their lives just so a few can have more so called more leisure time.
dls is only anygood for those that work 9 to 5 and live in the city and mostly the ones with no children
and it is not reasonable to compare australian conditions with europe . the temperatures are totaly different |

| Only fools want to get rid of daylight savings. There is not one valid reason, just a bunch of dirt stirrers with nothing better on their collective hands. Daylight savings affords the average person more real light to live lives by |

Your answer is dribble and took the letter out of context.
As a matter of interest, the weather in Perth is no warmer than a great many places that have DLS, in fact, Perth is quite a bit cooler than a lot of them. |

| You answer is pure dribble, there is quite simply no merit to what you say. Next you will be saying that it will hurt the milk cows, get some facts. Show me a studu done anywhere around the globe that shows that DLS has had a negative impact. You people are a bunch of mindless sheep! |
