Re:Daylight Saving Reply to this message
We got about a month to reach 3000,
500 over 30 days.
=17 per day.

When's the referendum?
I've actually never ever voted in any type of election (and am 42!) except once when I was 18,
and never been fined.
Should see some of the reasons i've got away with!

Re:Daylight Saving Reply to this message
Good to see Barnett starting to change his tune and suggesting that he might vote Yes for the sake of the economy and youth (curiously).

For a minute, I was beginning to think he lived in the same vacuum as most of the other anti-dls citizens in WA.
He finally remembered, yes!, hallelujah! WA is part of Australia and not a distant state in the lower reaches of the crab nebula.

That's one person coming to his senses, now how about the rest of you?

Re:Daylight Saving Reply to this message
The goverment should put an end to this once and for all.

DLS should be banned if it is voted out again.
It only benifits the suits and with that in mind one needs to remember that WA was NOT born by the suits. WA is driven by farming and mining of which the suits serve.

The suits must learn their place in WA. They are NOT the power house of this state and it is for this reason we have seen it voted out 3 times, soon to be 4.

Who is the CCI, last time I checked they were suits, so dont buy to much into their dribble.

WA operates just fine without messing with the clock.

O.......I am just loving those DARK mornings....Thankyou suits.........

But not for long now....

Re:Daylight Saving Reply to this message
waterbank, whether one is a "suit", a leotard, a pair of overalls, a pair of shorts or whatever, makes no difference everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Is this notion of "suits" an invention of yours. Bag them if you like, but without the "suits" this state would be about as advanced as Zimbabwe is now (minus the good bits).

I thought (or was lead to believe) that farmers worked from dawn to dusk, so what difference does the clock make anyway.

I regularly see Jims Mowing and other self employed business people working well into the 8.00 pm zone during DLS.
DLS benefits many such tradies who want to maximise the money making capacity of their day.
(And no, it's not just making up for an hour of lost light at the other end of the day - you can't operate lawn mowers and other machinery at 6.00 in the morning without getting a whipper snipper shoved up your backside by irate neighbors.)

What a simple way of looking at it. Stop and ask them why, I am sure you will find its because they cant work in the morning because of DLS....

Firstly, without the suits we would not have suffered this silly three year trail, as they are the main advocates of DLS.
And secondly,
without mining and agriculture there would be NO suits....
