'Why do they allow'???---well actually ;its called democracy-something we have in Australia-you may not have had it in the country you came from and obviously, not been here long enough to realise what it is and how it works.

Our state and Federal Governments are also based on the Westminster system.
Many dont agree with the outcome; when their votes are in the minority at any election -but they respect the fact we have it; as opposed to a dictatorship! |

Barnett was only manipulated in to place as a chair warmer for the Bra Twanger and heaven help us when that moron gets the top job I was utterly disgusted when they gave him Treasurer.

Barnett has a hide when he says he was elected and has a mandate!
The only reason he is in that position -is because Grylls went against his so called 'independant' stance-that he kept reitterating all through his campaign and caved to the liberal party.
He actually admitted; Labor had offered his party the best deal-but took the Liberal side-because a lot of old school voters would have been upset if he sided with Labor.
So much for being independant.
Then we have that turn coat from the North West.
Elected on a Labor ticket-supported by labor funds and elected by Labor voters-then decides he can do better siding with the Libs.
What a mess parliament would be ;if every pollie there decided to change their alliegence any time it suited them.
People say he was brave ,sticking up for his beliefs-he is self serving scum.
He could have gone to the polls as a National candidate-there actually was one who stood in the seat and didnt do well at all!
He could have funded is own camapign and stood as an Independant-but instead; choose to let the Labor party do the running for him-pay for his campaign and get voted in by Labor voters-then decided where he wanted to sit!
Disgusting individual.
Same calibre as Buswell-no morals or scruples.
Dont forget Buswell actually shafted his best mate Matt Birney too-said he would vote for him in the spill-told him he had done so-then admitted he didnt !
Had he voted for Birney-Birney would still be leader.
Hes an out and out slime.
Stabs his mate in the back to enable his own rise through the ranks-lies and cheats.
Think- the claim for the allowance when he wasnt even in that place.
His use of a chauffer-for his two cars!
His two houses-one flash one being paid off by the taxpayer.
Humiliating a female staff member- by sniffing her chair and unclipping the bra of another-chauvenist slime(Pigs have more morals!)
Truly rural Grylls- takes no living away allowance and has one unchauffered car |

With the exception of the Dorkers we love an underdog. Labor had been in too long and we saw it as cynical that an election was called as soon as the Liberals changed their leader so we punished, sorta, Labor for doing it.
Unfortunately Barnett is keeping the chair warm fro the Bra Twanging Chair sniffer. |
