Heh. Out of my friends, I'm one of a few that went to university. I didn't exactly come from a school with a reputation for brilliance, and I spent my first year at university doing commerce - the students of which makeup anything but 'arts-degree circles'. |

Now, all this adult conversation is brilliant, and whilst I'm truly in awe of that which age has provided you, I'm yet to see anything of substance. Which leads me to believe you might be bitter, somewhat senile old men, looking back at youth with contempt and looking toward change with fear.
Your inability to use nothing but age in an attempt to carry your arguments keeps me warm inside, basking in the knowledge that, well, I'm right. |

All that based on my age.
...and I've got the landlord coming round this afternoon, so my 'life' is on hold today (tidying and stuff). I might just stick about a while longer. |

wrong again sunshine...and to be honest, your attitude to those older than you is very immature and the last post was unnecessarily rude...but you have reminded me that one of my 3 investment properties will be vacant in a month so had better soon advertise it, if you are coming back to Perth soon don`t apply as i prefer older mature tenants. |

| Right, so I'll say it again. If you disagree with I've said, explain why, rather than using my age as a scapegoat for what looks to be flawed assertions. |

But for the fact that I've provided reasoning, and to an extent, a link that does well to support my view - it does seem kind of familiar. |

-mag.tide
Eh? That link was provides a detailed overview of all the projects, developments, licenses, construction etc. in and around Perth.
Incidentally, I've not really complained of my life in Perth being dull as such. Between work, university and sport, who has the time to be bored. I'd just like a little more choice in regards to how I spend the spare time I do have, especially when it doesn't really impact negatively on others.
You'll notice I never, EVER agree with the likes of napier and ausgal. |

'Work is far more interesting and the people more positive in Sydney (Perth people are lazy and negative)'
-ausgal952752
Wouldn't that, you know, depend on the work you do? Of course, the opportunities for certain types of employment are greater in Sydney and Melbourne - but that doesn't really equate to 'liveliness' does it?
And my University was rather lively. One of the best in Australia, and in a fantastic location, right on the River and extraordinarily close to the city. And again, university doesn't necessarily constitute 'liveliness' does it? Unless of course, a campus is located within the city (an idea which I'm a huge fan).
And I've always said that I'm a HUGE fan of Melbourne. Given the choice - and were family not a factor - I'd probably jump at the chance to live there. But that doesn't really change what I've said about Perth now, does it? And it sure has hell won't stop me from being both critical - and sometimes adoring - of the city. |
