| the only reason perth is so dead is because the majoriy of people keep WHINGING AND COMPLAINING about change that is happening in perth. it seriously ANNOYS ME and I think people should embrace the change and start living. Seriously its no fun when the clock turns 5 the whole city shuts down. |

| Anyone that says Perth is Dullsville over the next few months actually needs to venture out of their lounge room for a change. Heaps to do and see over the next few months in Perth and all over the state . |

Statisticaly speaking the more head of Aboriginal population in a area, the higher the crime rate.
Its sad but a fact.

Statiscally speaking ausgal, youll find that the lower income areas are the ones with the higher crime rates. And yes, in some of these areas there are high Aboriginal populations.
But in some of these areas theres also high bogan populations..... |

Irrespective, yes, Aborigines are more inclined toward criminal behaviour, but that has nothing to do with race, only the social conditions to which they are 'exposed'. |

...being unique for doing nothing isn't what one would hope for though.
I'm sick to f--- of this idea people seem to have, implying that Perth is great for being Perth, and not being like other cities.
Really, who gives a toss about the other cities. The only people hell bent on bringing THEM up, are those with something against our own city reaching its potential. |

What I said wasn't necessarily to you.
I simply get frustrated at people who claim what I wrote e.g. "we don't want another Gold Coast, Perth is great as is". Honestly, who cares about the Gold Coast. Can't we just make Perth better for our own sake?
Excuse my temperament, I just came back from the Perth Glory game. Bah! |

jaykaye_09 - i do agree! in several statements i was stipulating that i love to preserve it, yet sufficiently modernise city centre proper as allow people to live in it!
i am opposing against next "city tower"! hate them actually with passion... these monstrosities are not good even for show let alone living in them... because they cost fortune to build is not a justification to build next one...
i do prefer perth as it is - i do not want it to turn as i mentioned previously - into "little sydney" or singapore or whatever ugliness comes to your mind...
i loved singapore once, lived there and enjoy it, today, it lost it's spirit, nothing there but glass towers... no character and no spirit! |

Perth is dead, he tried to shop and the shops were shut, that Perth is not exactly and exciting place to be.
That is probably a polite description of the comments about Perth.
If you ever go over east, never admit to coming from Perth, unless you want to be laughed at. |

It is quite true that over East Perth has taken over from Queensland as being the out of touch backwater hicksville town.
I do get a bit tired of defending Perth as all I can use in its defense is its potential, which is being held back by the small but vocal inbred population of WA people who are frightend of any sort of change. |

| i think that Perth is not dullsville. there is so much to do if you get out and do it. and it doesnt have to cost a lot of money. i have a great time just with my close group of friends. there are great places to hang out like the south perth foreshore, just spend an arvo there (and even longer now we have dls) and see how many diverse ppl are out there enjoying it, with tai chi, free bbq access and families. there are some amazing things out there to do, just buy the paper on sat and check out all the things in the magazine that are on, and lots of it is free! |

| anyone who thinks perth is dullsville...why are you living here? and if you dont live here, then why do you care? if you dont like it then leave those of us who dont want to live in a concrete jungle to get on with our lives. i'm off to the foreshore for a drink and a bbq with my friends, who also happen to love living in a city that has a small town feel. (ps, if you came from the country like i do, you would appreciate all the things that perth has to offer!) |
