Woodstock Boubon and Cola cans "generate" $$$$ to. No class there whats so ever. Bogans have money to and in this town, at the moment, its the bogans with the money. Not enough to keep their beloved V8S here.

| I recently moved from Perth to Melbourne, after just 6 months in Perth, having grown up in Adelaide. Whilst I admit that Perth has the best weather, aside from that I don't miss it at all and Melbourne is far more liveable and vibrant. |

No actually i dont. I love Formula 1 for a start. I work in the hospitality industry and unlike the Rally, I dont think we will miss the V8s one bit.

As a F1 fan im pretty happy with the coverage currently on.
Perth will never get F1? True. But Melbourne isnt guranteed theyll still have a race in 5 years either so what excactly is your point?

That is my case in point, they may not even have F1 yet their coverage is so much better than here. Not sure that T George cares that much as they have just signed a deal for Moto GP at the Brickyard, so Bernie had better act quick, or the best venue in Nth America will be lost forever. |

Perth has a number of problems holding it back from seeing its full potential.
Its remoteness adds a lot of dollars to just getting here for tourists and entertainers. So we miss out on some good shows and tourist dollars.
Its low population means less dollars for the entertainers or in the case of sport less crowds.
The poor attitude of long term WA families to change, I put this down to inbreeding caused again by the small population and Perths remoteness. You only have to look at their opposition to the city foreshore development, coatal development, Rottnest development,7 day trading and DLS. The inbreds of WA want everything to stay the same.
It up to the new blood to bring Perth kicking and screaming into the 21st Century. |
