Condolences from Canberra to the family of Matthew Norman whom died in a mining accident in South Africa. I understand there will be some gathering in Kalgoorlie today with some mines stopping work briefly and a minute of silence.
RIP Matthew. |

Dear Bugsbonclyde, I am Margaret-Mary's auntie and Rach's great auntie. We all loved Matt very much, I was shattered as with all due respect , I know your family were and are. My father thought very highly of him, and so did I . I got on particularly well with Matt and we did share mant a laugh and Rach had her first Christmas brekkie and lunch at yr folks then dinner at my home with Matt MM, and her uncle Rich, her loves her very much and misses Rach dearly, when MM moved to Perth, she stayed with us, until we found them a place nearby and Richard, my husband, picked her up on an almost daily basis drom day care and looked after her, had dinner with her and played with her until MM knocked off.
We also had a Christmas together MM, Rach , Rich and Myself and i have the photos of the first xmas and the other xmas plus others. If you would like them please let me know. I had a mass said for Matt here in Canberra as well.

| One more thing bugs, thanks to the original poster, it was done on the condition that this thread would not turn into a three ring circus, merely done out of quiet respect for Matty and families and Rach. Finally, spoke to Dad phone the other day, and we all realise that without Matty he would not have become a great great grandda. Also whilst in Kal, Matt was always there for Dad. My father and I have great respect and love for Matt and I have allways will consider him my nephew who will always be loved. |

| We being a community, I believe we all must help others. Let us hope this also includes removing dangerous practice in our industries. Safety is the first matter discussed in any industrial project, no matter the dollar profit argument. This sounds easy to say while in Australia, yet I would hope these beliefs can spread to all nations. |
